Vergeet de elfstedentocht, de lage noren en alle winterpret want de zomer in Scheveningen wordt pas echt veelbelovend. Op 28 augustus komt er voor het eerst een 'Royal Beach Concert' op het scheveningse strand. Organisator Bob Reiche wil een groots concert met een grote popster trekken, zoals Robbie Williams. Er zouden onderhandelingen zijn met Justin Timberlake, George Michael, Whitney Houston en Prince.
Het eerste deel van het Royal Beach Concert zou een VIP concert moeten worden in het Kurhaus. Het tweede deel een gratis concert op het strand.

Fake tickets for Royal Beach Concert
A Rotterdam ticket agency has started selling tickets for a concert that the American singer Prince on August 28 would be on the beach of Scheveningen.

Bovendien vraagt het ticketbureau 450 euro voor een vip-kaart, terwijl die 1000 euro per stuk gaan kosten.''

Een telefoontje met het ticketbureau bevestigt de verkoop van de kaarten voor een concert van Prince, maar niet dat ze illegaal zijn. ,,Wij hebben uit betrouwbare bron vernomen dat Prince komt,'' verklaart een medewerker de verkoop, die verder niet op de zaak wil ingaan.

Het is de vraag of het wel Prince is die komt. Sinds de aankondiging van het evenement gonst de de naam van Robbie Williams rond. Reiche wil nog niets kwijt over de artiest. Hij kondigde in maart het grotendeels gratis megaconcert op het strand aan. Daarmee hoopt hij 100.000 bezoekers te trekken.
