Prince is doing a European tour this summer.

Confirmed:

June 16th - Croke Park (tickets on Sale March 5th) [ No OFFICIAL statement from prince has been made however, so its highly likely this could be cancelled ]

Rumored:

Paris
Milan
Amsterdam (speculation, not sure of source)
Hampden Park, Scotland [ June ]
Århus Stadion - Århus - Denmark [ June 12 ]

Yes, there's rumours of a show somewhere in Denmark on either June 12 or 14.
Whether it will materialize or not remains to be seen.
If it does it is also uncertain if it will be in Copenhagen.
The rumours claims that two unspecified cities in Denmark are negotiating /competing for a Prince show in June. At first only June 12 was mentioned. Now June 14 is mentioned as well.
Last time he was here, he played both Copenhagen and Ålborg, so who knows...maybe there will be two shows this time as well

Prince on Århus Stadion, in Århus, Denmark on June 12

P.s :guess he's on to something: all the danish media have online stories on it now.
It will be announced tonight by "Århus Elite".

How many miles in Arhus from Copenhagen?

No, I'm not from Århus or Jylland even- I'm from Nordsjælland, so a Copenhagen concert would have suited me much better. But I'll take this
Haven't heard anything more yet.
It's really funny how I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. That's how I got some info, now I'm just waiting for the official word, like everyone else.

For those outside Denmark. Århus is in Jylland a whole other island than Sjælland where the capitol Copenhagen is located.
I don't know how many miles there's from Århus to Copenhagen, but it's certainly not close to Copenhagen. I'm sure someone knows the excact distance.
It will take me much longer to go to Århus than to Sweden for instance.
So people from abroad should go directly to Århus, if possible, not to Copenhagen.

For those who´s not from Denmark, I can tell you, that the best airport to get tickets to is Aarhus Airport. From there you can get a bus directly from the airport to the center of Aarhus. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes.

From down town Aahus you can walk to the Stadium in less that 30 minutes, and you can catch a bus. The ride takes less than 10 minutes.

If you drive from Copenhagen you should reserve app. 3 hours depending on the traffic.

updates with the arhus rumers

The site I mentioned earlier, was registered on february 28, by Openminded Aps.
It's at www.princeiaarhus.dk. (ie. Prince in AArhus)
Openminded Aps works for Festivalkontoret who arranges concerts and last year brought George Michael to AArhus.
Frank Haar, spokesman for Openminded Aps said yesterday:
"We work for Festivalkontoret, but we don't arrange concerts. All I can say is that several of us would find it really cool to see Prince in Århus at some point. That's all I can say for now"

So far there's only an ipod with a picture of "Planet Earth" -"Openminded'album of the month" on the site
