Trend in Aftershows?

Just wondered if there was any pattern in the way these run. I booked my tickets 2 c Prince in London on the Saturday (last night he would b playing) and this was the only time he played a live aftershow-has this been the case elsewhere?

There is no pattern. Some cities get aftershows and some don't. Even if he plays a show and doesn't have another show the next night, it still doesn't mean that there'll be an aftershow.

I would say your best chances are in certain major cities like NYC or other cities where he has done aftershows more than once. (When combined with no show the next day.)

I would bet Paris has a good chance of an aftershow.

I think his schedule is also very tight. He has te be in a different city/country the next day. I think sometimes it's just very hard to find time a do a mayor gig the next day.

Or maybe he's getting older smile and doesn't that many aftershows anymore. I remember to good old days that I had 4 concerts (two regular and two aftershows) in three days. I was wrecked on Monday... But there was some sort of pattern there...!

Yes I am surprised by how few aftershows there have been so far on this Euro tour, 2 to be exact!!

I really expected one in Berlin, was surprised there wasn't but had such a fun time at the soundcheck and reg show that I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I was gonna be.

the trend is: he is doing no aftershows!!!
he had the location to play in berlin,
the next day no concert, result: nothing!
mayby he's doing one in paris, if he's in a good mood...
that's it!

He is doing soundchecks instead of aftershows. I guess he only does aftershows when he is really into it these days.
By introducing the soundchecks for the NPG members he already has earned his money.. All aftershows he might do is extra...

in berlin the problem was the equipment - this had to be at rostock next day at 5 in the morning (also the bandmembers were going by ship)

but it looks like he is not giving too much aftershows right now - someone told me, its because of the women-band-members - they are to tired to give aftershows and concerts and soundcheck nearly every second day.

paris might be a really good place for an aftershow, cause i think he loves paris.

hope for an aftershow in zurich (there he did allready twice)!!
