I really want to go but it is my mates wedding that day.... might ahve to make an early exit and get down to the dome. I went to see George Clinton at the Forum a couple of years ago - brilliant live show.

(Doubt Prince will turn up)

Thanks orgers for alerting me to this (this was also mentioned in DoMeBaby's Maceo threat), I'll get a ticket as soon as I get home later tonight! Bound to be a total blast! (How fun is he on the One Nite Alone Aftershow CD?!)

Has anyone seen GC live recently? I've heard a lot of very mixed reviews for his gigs - too much stoned stoned stoned

He is one of my musical heros but I can't decide whether to go or not?

Have you seen how many people GC has to pay? guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar guitar and let's not forget that George Clinton is one of the most important people in black music so I think £27.50 is a bargain! biggrin

last time I was him, Funkadelic started about 9.30 and the whole gig segued through to 1.15. George Clinton came on about half way through wearing a patchwork quilt and funked. The MD was a guy with a pot belly wearing only a white and flourescent nappy. Was my favourite live show until I went to Prince.

You've missed the point I was trying to make. I'm not saying that George Clinton is not WORTH paying £27.50 to see live, just that Prince is a bigger star and people paid LESS to see him at the Indigo2. There was also talk on another thread about Prince hating his fans. Again, the point I was trying to make here was that clearly he does not otherwise he could have charged alot MORE for the main and after shows at the 02 and Indigo2.

Yup, I missed the point! biggrin £25 is an incredible bargin for the night of your life - but without George, Prince wouldn't have made the music he has.

I have heard a few rumors that this event will not be happening. Can anyone confirm?
