Dublin/Org Meetup/NPGMC/ - summary Dublin/O'Reillys/NPGMC/Org - summary.
bfletcher has suggested we meet beforehand in the Pub(O'Reillys unless someone knows a better spot), I think this is a great idea and will be there between 2pm and 3pm. How many of the below 25ish(and those I missed) will be there BFletcher/Ian/logger and 3 friends/Spud80 and friend/Shammyfeen/wyldeone,/Bal and friend/Childofthedawn and friend/captainsano and friend/jqmunro and friend/Bren and friend/riverjones/irishdevil and friend/kickit94 and friend... How many NPGMC members will be there - if only for safety in numbers when getting seats/tickets. Any advance info on npgmc seat reservations or aftershow venues would be appreciated. At the moment I am not counting on an 'aftershow' or 'soundcheck', after the organisational Fiasco at the first Uk night. O'Reillys" pub- If you're coming from O'Connell st, the entrance to the dart station is on your right and then theres another turn right immediately after that and its in there down a sort of a tunnel/laneway type thingy...(directions by bfletcher)

For those of you looking for info on Dublin,
The city is pretty compact - so all the 'sights' are pretty much in walking distance. Dublin is now a very trendy and expensive spot, and a lot of the old pubs are now exclusive bars, Places like Cocoon/Cafe en Seine/the Bailey/the front lounge etc are a bit posery, but worth a visit. If you want old Irish - Head down the Quays to the Brazen head - or further out to Lucan and 'polly hops'(prob too far - unless u have a few days). If you want to eat out - I would reccomend il Bacaro in temple bar - It is a small, reasonably priced authentic Italian restauant. Boulevard on exchecker street is also a good spot on a Fri/Sat night - always has a good buzz..(Ill prob. be there Wed night) If you have a bit more money - Coopers/Trocadero/Fitzers/Morrisson etc are good standard. I would reccomend booking all places in advance. Clubs - Hopefully we will all be in the Pod again on Thurs night Hope this is of some help...My girlfriend would be a lot more help on this - i tend to go where ever - Ill ask her tonight for anything she would recc. regards, Bren

my friend and i will be in dublin from the weds night so i think by the time 2:30 on thurs we'll be well in need of some refreshments with the orgers. what time is every1 going down to the point though? i don't want to be queuing for a million years as i've already got seat numbers printed on the tickets (near the front ). and may i just say that the reviews from last night are getting me even more excited than ever

I am arriving in Dublin at around 11 am, so i have to meet my people early. Maybe O' Connell bridge might be a good idea, but i plan to be at the point much earlier then 3pm, more like 1. "Waiting to be banned"

Confirm I will be there with a girlfriend (not my girlfriend you understand) Landing at about 12.30 so hope to be at t'pub by 2 o/c after a swing by my hotel to drop off my stuff.
Less than a week to go - hope there is no fiasco with the seating arrangements etc but think if were all arrive together we stand a better chance of making sure we all happy on the night. You dont wanna know how much I'm looking forward to the 10th!! *********if you cant be good - be Wylde **********

A message for Kickit94:
I am a tourist too but have 'done' Dublin many times. It depends what your interests are; if you like Guinness, go to the Guinness Storehouse; if you like whiskey, go to the Jameson's distillery, if you like any other drink, go to Cafe en Seine/Zanzibar or maybe find a decent pub! Maybe a bit of shopping at Brown Thomas, a walk round St. Stephens Green at the top of Grafton Street, and then take a tour-bus to Phoenix Park. Personally, I'll be heading to Merrion Row and Baggot Street for a few beers and a cheese and ham toastie. Try O'Donoghue's or Doheny & Nesbit's for some decent drink. If you want to eat out my favourite is Eden in Meeting House Square in Temple Bar but if you want to go a bit easier on the wallet/purse try the Bad Ass Cafe nearby. See you at the concert.

Hey y'all.
I'll (hopefully) be there with a chum - another non-NPGMCer, but a longtime child o' the Org. Any word on aftershow location and likelihood of plebs like us getting in to soundcheck/aftershow? Sounds like London was pretty strict. Peace, out. thapreacher
