As Ticketmaster again was selling the best seats in the O2 today for 'the sold out' show of the same night that ticket brokers like Viagogo weren’t able to sell for outrages prices on command of AEG I stumbled across the one and only official statement from Rob ‘dirty little scoundrel’ Hallett , boss of AEG live, claiming a sell out on the first day of sales:

Promoter Rob Hallett of AEG Live said:

"It is extraordinary that any artiste can sell out so many nights in London, the previous record was 14, but to sell this quickly and in August is quite remarkable! However with Prince we are talking about a phenomenal artiste who has spent his whole career raising the bar so we shouldn’t be too surprised. I can see this record outliving the century!"
