Aftershow party - best way to get to them?

Hiya guys, right tonight is my NPGMC gig, so I'm glad I could sit through the teethingproblems of the soundcheck stuff! Last night (my first gig) I had real crap seats at the back...still made the most of what I got and my brother and I dug the show extremely. Well, we tried for the aftershow, but upon getting there by tube to Picadilli (and admittedly via Budgens for a bite!) the cue was immense and iventually they only allowed laminates (much to the dissappointment of me, AND guys with laminatesbehind me with their guests!) It WAS a shame they announced it later and that the venue was apparently real small (my bro had a works party there once and figured the dude wouldn't fit a drum stick in the place with all the people squeezed in).

So I was wondering how the best way to get to the sound check tonight would be? Are their taxi ranks that you guys used? I got a taxi TO the gig and the traffic was so bad!

I'll be with my girlfriend (my 'guest) and another friend (who got herself a cheap ticket), so I'd really like to guarantee she gets in...

Hope you can help!

P.S. If anyone has rumours of a venue that'll be great! I know someone confirmed the Embassy earlier (though I missed that post and only read it this morning!)
