Just got back from quite a night at the o2. I took a girlfriend who's a wild party girl and she had never seen Prince before. We were in the front of A2 having a blast - she couldn't believe how close P was to us. He seemed to look right at us early in the show - I tend to jump up and down a lot, you know... Then during Musicology a bouncer came and asked my mate if she wanted to go on stage. (I was like, what about me? But seeing as how she sorta looks like Vanity circa 1982, I could see why...) I was watching her being led off when suddenly P came right over to the edge of the stage and threw his towel - directly to me. I was completely surprised - I guess it was my reward for my enthusiasm (I was the only one in my section that seemed to know all the words)! The folks around me were all surprised as well. When I gathered my wits about me I decided to stuff it in my bag so it wouldn't go missing! (of course I did take a whiff first - smelled like petuli or something... definitely Prince!)

I did think for a second - is this weird? Am I going to treasure a sweaty towel? Then I thought, heck yeah!

maybe ur girlfriend was on stage but u got no towel...n the dancers last nite were only up 4 10 min n prince kept his distance b4 his fat bouncer with a tash shone his torch 2 get the "dancers" off....

Trust me, this was not my imagination. There were plenty of witnesses in my section, as well as the guard (who also seemed surprised). You can already see from one of the other comments that at least one org'er saw this as well. I'm not so desperate that I had to make this up! But if you don't believe me, well, that's your perogative I suppose.

On the 17th I was right down the front and I'm sure Prince turned to me when he sung the first line of'if I was your girlfriend', but I doubt if anyone would believe me. I wish I knew though. I'm glad you've got witnesses. And those that don't believe you are probably very jealous.

My mate told me she was told not to try to get too close to him when she was dancing - apparently they are being more cautious after the previous nights when folks have danced right next to him! So she stayed at the far end (she was a little nervous even though she got up there.) But she looked wicked!
