London 3rd october: THE TRUTH!

hi yall
we're a gand of italians from a net cafe in london.
what happened last night? first: what a fab show! Shall we mention a couple of titles? Shall we say:
BAMBI, ALL THE CRITICS, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE, EMPTY ROOM (electric version!!!), STROLLIN, GOTTA BROKEN HEart ( terrific!!!) and... THE LADDER!!!
then, about the soundcheck: the track was a 15 minutes jam of DAYS OF WILD (anyone said Get wild? no no no, wrrrong) with Prince on bass and keys...
about the seats mess: we queued since 1 pm and when we got in the security told us that we had to seat according to the number and row written on our ticket. You can imagine what a riot began: we queued for nothing when npgmc told us that was general admission? That was very unfair!
After a ten minuutes quarrel with the security Prince himself arrived from backstage to clear the matter. He came amongst us without any bodyguard and listened to our reasons. The fuunniest scene was when our friend Toto told him that he came all the way from Italy and didn't want to watch the show from row J and seperated from his friends. That's when Prince took his hand and told him: "COME ON, FOLLOW ME, SHOW ME YOUR SEAT!". They then seated next to each other, Prince kept the other guys away because he wanted to talk in private with Toto. They chatted for about 3 minutes and Toto explained him that the seats were not so good and too far for a member. Prince insisted they were good, because he loves to watch shows from that position! But Toto said he was almost blind and needed to stay with his friends smile That's when Prince had a laugh! Then I (Alex) told him that the tickets were general admission, we conquered our positions and wanted to stay together in first row. And Prince told me "When Ill be on stage, you won't think about your friends!". Then we shook hands and Prince took the stage for the small soundcheck.
After that an npg staff member arrived and confirmed that we could keep our seats.
The show was a great one, and also featured our Toto in a dance contest during "The work". ?He got problems with his boots, but anyway danced greatly and was the runner up of the contest. Prince enjoyed the moment a lot.
What to say?
See ya tomorrow for another report, being abroad we'll try some local food: PIZZA e SFINCIONI smile
Long live Da PINNA
Death to the Boka Hotel, AVOID IT !!!

cheers

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown

we made our queue from early morning, we played clean, and the following days we helped organizing the queu. We got on front row all 3 nites because we queued since early morning.
About first night, it was GENERAL ADMISSION, not only us but other 200 people complained with Prince about it. so...
cheers
