What has been played EVERY night so far?

So as far as EVERY night goes, all I remember is this: -

Purple Rain
Let's Go Crazy
Kiss
Musicology / Funk Jam with dancers

Cream ? [not sure about this]?

he said he'd play Musicology every night I think on Friday.

Has he even played the songs he said he'd rehearsed, eg Love Is A Losing Game?

Anyone keeping count? If he doesn't reach 150 I'm asking for my money back!

During watching the show for the 4th time this Saturday, I am now at the point I could even successfully predict the next song even before he began playing it. I even clap at exactly the right time and have the show and lighting timed to perfection to the astoundment to the people next too me. Its devolved into a little game for me now. Pleased to say I have 2 weeks until the next shows.

I've been waiting to see some different songs posted on the setlists. So far not many different songs have been played, seems he plays the same group of songs in different orders. I really don't think he will have done 150 different songs by the end of the London shows. He really should not have said that in the press confrence. neutral

well, there's quite a few shows to go yet and a complete change would not surpise me from this week on and especially in september. My only doubt would be whether his band are really up to it - I'm not at all convinced by them.

Since you are tracking this for all shows, it would be nice to see if Prince
can get to a total of 150 songs, which he has said to have rehearsed for this
tour.

Up untill now I think that Prince and his band have played about 60 somewhat
different songs or parts of it.

I'd say more like 30 so far. Still another 15 nights to go so anything could still happen. Though rather than numbers, I prefer quality of delivery. I would not count the 4 or 5 ten second pre-recorded samples played back on saturday as "played".

ok, that's a lot more than I remember. I think the first night bumped up the numbers a fair amount. BUT we can't count what a wonderful world twice (59,62) and 61. saints go marching in? hmmmmm not at all sure about that. I think someone may have got that confused with down by the riverside.

Ok Jochem. I'll check over your list after work and put them in order of when they were first played. Apart from those 2 going in twice I think you did a really good job.

Well I'm certainly not calling these performed songs. A 5 second sample or a few lines on a piano hardly constitute one of 150 songs rehersed and ready to play!

I have based it on the set lists from Housequake:

I think we can only get up to the 150 songs if we count the small parts too!!

Good work!

I don't think 30 serconds of a song should be considered as performed songs. A great deal of the tracks were one verse/one chorus. Hardly the song:

eg:

I could never take the place of your man
Give It To Me Baby (was only one bass line!!)
Diamonds & Pearls
Condition of the Heart
DMSR
Pop Life
Strange Relationship
Little Red corvette

thank u 4 the compiling and i agree, part samples and chants don't equal a full song being played.
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
