Just received my Thames VIP tix for August 1st. Tickets were Block E1 / Row C behind the drummer probably so a bit disappointed about that and makes me wonder to whom those front floor blocks were sold to and when because the auctions never featured those specific blocks either and neither did the fan club code and they never seemed to go on general sale via TM. Anyway...so on to the detail. With my tickets I got an A4 letter (looks photocopied or poorly printed on cheap paper anyway) with details as follows from AEG: -

Your Thames Party Cruise and Gold Circle seats package consists of:
- A pre-show cruise at the silver sturgeon boarding at 17:30, departing Savoy Pier at 18:00

- A welcome drink
- 2 free drinks of beer or wine at the bar. A cash bar will also be available
- Buffet
- On board DJ
- Transfer to the O2 pier where you will be directed/escorted to the O2 arena
- Gold Circle seats in the first 10 rows (which are enclosed with this letter)

The boat will arrive at the O2 pier at approx 19:15. Support act on stage at 19:30, and Prince on stage from 20:30. The concert will end at 23:00.

There is no return travel included.

There you have it after months of speculation nothing they could not have allocated or told us months ago....

Only two free drinks, for the price that was paid..you what? that certainly is not value for money, nor is sitting behind the round of the stage.

I going VIP 11th in the White Bar.....they best not be thinking of any kind of limit on the bar!!

luckily I'm a slow drinker so 1 welcome drink + 2 more should be OK from 18:00 to 19:15. I would guess the same will be the case at the White Bar.

No front row seats, seats in the worst floor location, no return transport and now they are limiting the bar to two free drinks!?!

However, someone does have B2 Row 5 which is gonna be a great seat I think.

Hi we just recieved our vip!! tkts this morn-we're also on the cruise-the 2 drinks bit a can cope with but they've allocated us in D1 row K!!not exactly 1st 10 rows try the 11th-calls will b made 2moro-at least tm haven't mesed up our aftershow tkts!!

you get one drink when you get in (prolly bubbly) and another 2, for an hour or so before the show thats enough really, you can squeeze in another 1 or 2 if you really want, but i think if it was an all out free bar we would all drunk way too much, get wasted and not have the same fun

come on you lot, there is a buffet as well!. Anyway got mine on D3 Row B! so am more than happy with that.

I think this is an absolute disgrace.

Why the hell should i pay 7 x the price of someone sat in front of me?

A poxy bar with unlimited free soft drinks doesn't justify that price!

Do some of you know if this White Bar is close to the O2? I have two VIP-tickets for August 7th, and I received an email from Seetickets that they don't want to risk the tickets to get lost in the mail. I have to get them at the O2 at six o'clock. Is this 'White Bar' next to it? Otherwise I'm truly confused (and fucked).

I got the same message about the aftershow-tickets, btw. Collect them at the Indigo.

when you bought your vip tix, did it say floor seats within first 10 rows, or did you buy them after they changed the wording? if you bought before the change, i would call customer service and advise them that you haven't been supplied with the tickets you ordered, and you wish to be provided with the tickets in the location as advertised, or you require (not want) a refund

if they refund, then you gotta find someone with tix for the 1st nite (which shouldn't be too hard, at least not upper tiers)
