I called there too, the event is scheduled, but they don't have a sale date yet. Just had to hear it for myself.

When I just called, they said they were not the vendor of choice, because they do not have any dates for tix sales set. Maybe they didn't know what they were talking about though, the girl did sound kinda dopey . . .
I don't have time to listen to new music, I've got too much old Prince to discover. Classic example : I was at club Nokia at the midnight show and didn't know "In a large room with no lights" . . . my bad Prince

The concert is part of a promotion for that card. I guess the company are paying Prince to do the concert as part of the promotion plus he probably gets a large percentage of the ticket sales. Man likes to be paid, always has.

i dont get the point behind the presale....since only card members can purchase them. i have a card with them, which i cut up awhile back so i wouldn't be tempted to use it...LOL. Go figure! I called and asked them to ship me a new one, but of course no one is expeditious about getting out, LOL.

The concert is a promotion for the card, is it any wonder they want to force people to use it?

i understand it is for members only as a promotion. what i was trying to convey was if it is for members only, what is the point of a "presale"....get my drift? cool

The whole thing is outrageous. What Prince is doing to his fans is sickening. Playing an exclusive show so a credit card company can sell it as an "experience" to its consumers to reward them for their loyalty to their "brand" only highlights Prince's betrayal of his own fans. It's hard to believe this is the same man who wrote "slave" on his face just a few years ago. There's only one word to describe Prince's behavior here: corporate whore. And I really don't wanna pay 225 to see a corporate tool. Coming on the heels of the 3121 price "jerk" makes this especially glaring. I don't care about his being a JW, or any of that other shit. I do care when he becomes a complete and total sell out.

I guess this is a major turning point for Prince. He's become part of the "geezer rock" elite (which I thought was so beneath him) who no longer have fans, but only "markets." So much for the music, eh? My guess is that Prince knows exactly what he is doing here.

Maybe harsh, but definately a grain of reality. "Forcing" or atleast encouraging people to sign up for a card (they don't need?) to see him play at a reasonable cost is defferent than saying I'm playing here in Vegas "pay up".

How much of this should be a surprise when he's been hanging with the LA crowd for some time now. They write the book on being hypocrits. Trumpeting causes like clean air from the private jets. mad

Just wondering how many of us has this credit card and will you be willing to help others get tickets? I have a friend thats going to help me get a ticket since I don`t have this card. I applied but it takes 3 to 4 weeks to process.Wonder how many tickets will get to the scalpers? If the show does not sell out, I figure the public will get the left overs.
