trying to buy 2 ticket for 27th jan as a surprise for girlfriend but ticketmster has none for sale Ideas anyone.

interesting mistake ticketmaster has made.....i wonder if anyone in the Prince camp has noticed....you can't get tickets to any of the Jan shows but they already went on sale....and no way they sold out since hardly any of the Vegas shows have sold out so far

Just spoke to somebody at the rio,she said no tickets on sale for any shows in jan,only dec.

so i sit down with credit card in hand to purchase my tickets and no tixs available, even though the sale states 12/22 at noon.

.Very annoying need to book hotels and flights,as the whole package is a surprise christmas present for my girlfriend,prince is the only reason we would go to vegas.Would hate to book stuff then find out he is not playing.

I bought 2 standard tickets for 12/1 show. Try whenever u can, I thought It was sold out but when I checked later tickets were available. I do not know what is happening.

the rio just told me no dates confirmed for jan.starting to get pissed,so much conflicting info.booked flight and hotel on the strength of ticketmaster now i am getting worried.

I have been checking every 1/2 hour to buy tickets for Jan 6. Taking my sister for her birthday, but really for me.....I allready bought airplane tickets and such. I went to ticketmaster yesterday at 12:00 to get tickets for the Jan. 27 show and it kept saying they weren't available. I kept refreshing and refreshing and finally after about 30 minutes it gave me the opportunity to buy tickets. (30 minutes after the scheduled on-sale) I purchased tickets, got a confirmation e-mail, and now when I log in to ticketmaster it still tells me my tickets have been purchased and need to be picked up at will-call. (Plus the cost of the tickets has been deducted from my bank account)

When I went back to Ticketmaster today to check things out it says tickets aren't available again for the January shows. (But mine are still confirmed)

To quote Prince, "I feel for you" if you are still trying to get tickets. I have no idea what's up. I don't think all of the shows are sold out. Who knows what's going on...

Usually when Ticketmaster tickets are sold out, it will let you select tickets but when you hit the submit button, it then tells you no tickets are available.

This screen is different. It's not even giving you the option to select tickets. This screen is telling us the sale of the tickets have halted.

So, it sounds like there's a kink in the ticketing logistics at this point, it's not that he won't be performing at all in Jan..

MAYBE they decided to set up a presale??? Maybe they started selling and stopped but the ones that sold are obviously still valid.....

Ticketmaster now says tickets not on sale,so i guess someone messed up.Just have to wait with fingers crossed.

I managed to purchase tickets for Jan 12/13th. I received a confirmation order e-mail. I'm very confused! But I did hear that Prince's management did not intend for tickets to go on sale until Jan 1st. I hope that is the case and is the reason the dates haven't been removed.....they are just on hold? I also hope that the people that already purchased won't have any trouble at the "will call" when they get to the event due to this error!!! (including myself!!)

I just got off the phone with the RIO and they said our tickets are UP IN THE AIR (if you already bought them).....and to call back in a couple days.....

I already booked flight/hotel/tickets.....this shit better PAN OUT!

Husband just got off the phone, attempting to make VIP reservations for the weekends of Jan 5th or Jan 12. The person he spoke with stated tickets aren't available. When mentioned people have confirmed reservations according to the internet, he was told "people may not have been informed yet that the performances are cancelled". Officially no performances. Period. No tickets, no performances. Hubby joked about it and told him it wasn't his fault. The guy stated the situation is very frustrating.

If there are no shows in Jan,i am sure there will be a lot of pissed off people like myself who have laid out a lot of cash for nothing,and i for one will be looking for explanations.

I still think the performances will happen. I don't think ANYBODY at the Rio really knows what's going on. Of course it is all speculation right now, but I think the shows in January will happen but the on-sale date was screwed up in Ticketmaster.

The shows are still listed on Mike Phillips' myspace page.

I'd love to make it to a Prince show. The Rio is more expensive than other casinos and I don't care to make reservations there, unless I can see Prince.
We'll try again after Christmas. I feel sorry for the staff at the Rio. Whatever happens, don't take it out on the person answering the phone!! They're just the messengers and don't make the decisions.

If you bought tix already, they will hold up if the dates are officially confirmed. TM jumped the gun apparently. Confirmation should be this week.

Like I said, if this doesn't pan out SHIT will hit the fan but I am optimistic the shows will happen.....

like rockandrollboy said (and Prince before that), "I feel for you" Times like this I am glad that I can't swing a trip to Vegas--I would be getting so frustrated and annoyed. I know Prince is mercurial and all, but this is getting kinda ridiculous...Prince (or his "people") need to get it together and let the Rio and Ticketmaster know b/c all he's succeeding in doing right now is pissing people off.

Hopefully if/when I'm able to make the trip things will be more organized...

Ok, can anyone give any suggestions as to another good show in Vegas? I bought airfare and hotel for my sister and myself for her birthday and of course tickets still not on sale. We are giving it through today to go on sale, but if not we have to find something else to do. Jan. 5 is only 4 days away!!!
