Don't forget Prince is the one deciding and choosing what he wants to do. As frustrating as can be, staff at the Rio is doing the best they can. It's not easy to work for or with Prince.

I called earlier this evening too - the person I spoke with admitted they really didn't know when the announcement would be made since Prince's camp isn't showing their cards for some reason.She said they're trying to get it nailed down since there are a lot of inquiries, but they just don't know yet. There was some speculation that they were possibly trying to combat scalping (was that really a problem the first few weeks??) since P's folks have always been really concerned about that. She said the consensus there was to make arrangement to come to town if you need to b/c they really think the regular weekend series will continue as previously stated....but of course, no promises.

(Personally, I'm making my arrangement for next weekend and if there's no show, oh well. I'm still in Vega$ which does not suck.)

I wouldn't say it's "safe" per se, but a hotel employee informed me that he has the place leased for 6 months. It doesn't say that he'll be there for those dates, but it shows it's highyl probable he'll be there for about 4+ more months. For what it's worth...

I really feel sorry for those who hoped or even still hope to see him during the Holidays. I feel even more sorry for those who booked their airplane, hotel, table and everything but let me be honest here: Why did you guys book before they announced official dates? You know Prince, he's unpredictable. Those things happen and with him even more.

However, I'm really crossing fingers so that he plays for all of you as you'd wish just because I'm with you and.

I didn't book a table, but I HAD to get airline reservations or else it would cost too much money. It just isn't feasible to jump on a plane last minute, especially around the holidays!
