Enter The Circle Of Sexxy: my Chicago report, pt. 1 ....well well well. i'm currently in chicago now, just about to head back over to minneapolis. i'ma do this report in pieces, so this is the first part.
if ya'll know my concert/paisley party reports well, you will know that i do not just type setlists n'shit; if you guys want a setlist, ask someone else. i always tell ya what happened at the show, so that you can experience what i did. here's how it all began: i got to chicago at around 12 or so, and ivy (romera) and her uncle picked me up from midway airport. we got back to ivy's house, where erin (FunkMistress) had just woke up from being dead asleep after being at the prince party at berlin the night before (till close--4 in the gotdamned morning! ). we all hugged-ded and stuff, since we all hadn't seen each other in what seemed like forever...there was some touching and stuff going on, but not enough. i'll spare ya'll the rest of the details. we then all went over to this chinese restaurant, where we got some pre-concert dinner (an INSANE amount of food, even--erin's order alone of mu shu veggies could've fed all of us--if we were wimpy veggies like her, that is ). then, we started thinking about how the rest of us were gonna get together over at the congress later on. here's who all ended up with us: -- chris (anx) -- nathan (GangstaFam ) -- tiffany (brownsugar) -- erik (sp?--eleven) first off, we heard that there was a long-assed line outside the congress theater and that people had been there since 4 in the afternoon. well, when we all got there, there were no more than 20 npgmc members in front of us. awesome! there was even a group of people having a little KFC picnic on the sidewalk, too... so, we stood out there and hugged and talked and laughed and grinded and wondered what prince was gonna wear to the function and sang and laughed at this drunk muthafucka who was standing in front of us. no seriously, there was a guy standing in front of us who had a backpack full of booze, and getting his drink on, and yelling out stupid drunken shit. i don't even think he knew where he was, let alone made it into the concert. whoever you were, tequila guy, thanx for the pre-concert entertainment and i hope your hangover this morning was a nice one. anyway--we got there at around 7 o'clock and we were fuckin just psyched that we were so close to the entrance door. we stood outside and waited...and waited...and waited...and grinded...oh yeah, we grinded and...yeah, we waited some more. then, around 10:30, the doors opened and we all were let inside the theater! what did the night hold in store for us? A LOT. i'll let ya'll know the rest when i fly back in to minneapolis in about a couple hours. btw, did ya'll know that me, erin & ivy were no less than 3 feet away from His Royal Sexxiness? ya'll didn't? welp, ya'll gonna hear about it later. to be continued....oh lawd

Well, it seems I'm the only sucka who, as a result of having to go into work, is still awake, so I'm about to give my first-ever Concert report for all of you patient orgers.
I'm not nearly as good as Handclaps at giving u all the fun details, so I'll leave that to her part 2 report. What I can say is that I had a blast last night!!! I really went in with no expectations and honestly left with anticipation for Tamar's CD when it comes out in May Beyond the music being incredible the show overall is just a hoot to end all hoots. Really fun/sassy/sexy/silly stuff that completely roped me in from the first song ("Every Little Step I Take" ??). I myself am a sucker for back-up dancer/singers and Tamar and the twins' synchronized Tina Turner moves were crackin me the fuck up for most of the night. And then there's Prince. They could have done a tribute to Winger last night and as long as that man plays guitar and makes those faces, ima be a geeked-out craaazay-ass fammy fam!!! Do rag was in-check last night for the whole show, as were the heels. Three costume changes and three guitars ( The Honer , The baby blue and a new orange one). I am still amazed at what that man can do with a guitar. At one point he even channeled Steve Stevens ala Flesh for Fantasy in "Red Headed Step Child"... I'm not gonna lie- I got a lil moist Seems most of the set list is about the same as the other shows of late. Only notable difference would be his cock teasing at one point by belting out riffs from Kiss...then Bambi...then The Cross...then U Got the Look... and even snuck in a riff from Erotic City during "Rock Steady" (if ya blinked ya missed it tho). Thanks to Tamar, the Twins, Prince and all the fans/orgers (including the ones that were on stage making me fear a little for the Man's safety). Ooh! and a BIG thanks to Anx, Handclaps, Ivy, Ganstafam, and Funk Mistress for letting me and my guest hang in line withyall and thusly resulting in our ass kickin spot right in front of Mr. Nelson!!! I would like to thank Eleven for standing behind me when he did, because there were MANY moments when Prince fammed me out so hard that I just felt myself falling backwards in moments of delirious asskickery. Without the protective barrier that was Eleven, I would have cracked my big thick skull on the Congress Theatre's fine concrete floor, then gotten up, fallen over and cracked it again until you could serve up my scrambled remains with a side of toast.

There were a few times when I looked over at our group and I must say what a joy it was to watch your face at times. During some of the Prince solos you were totally making the Home Alone face. I wish I'd had a camera cuz it was just priceless - mouth gaping open, eyes bugged and hands on cheeks like you could barely contain yourself. Loved it!
