EVENT:Musicology Tour(SanDiego,CA)

To those of you who shared your opinions on an expired post, of me taking my children to this concert in SanDiego, mind you they are 6 & 9 years old, I need to mention, they both knew more of the songs he played, then half of the crowd that was there,I have played his music for them since they were babies, & mind you I have played it VERY loudly. They ARE VERY familiar with his music, & Loved every minute of it, who would'nt love a chance to see the concert of the year?second, yea Prince's stuff in the past is dirty, but they are familiar with it, & understand the difference of when it is appropriate to talk that way(not until they are adults, besides, I don't think they understand half of it), I would much rather them sing lyrics of PRINCE, then that STUPID Eminem, so what's the difference? Besides, The tour is a good clean act, quite the family show now, & I AM NOT STUPID!!! I previewed it in Detroit a couple of weeks earlier with my husband. Third, yea people were drinking, so what, people drink everywhere, ya gonna keep your kids locked up in your house until they are adults? My children know I don't drink, that is what is important to me! & let me tell U, even if I did drink, I was on such a Purple high, I would'nt have drank anyway.
My children were THRILLED to see the man their Mom has played for them for years! They were mesmerized by their first show beeing probably the greatest show they will ever see. My children had a blast! & both of them danced harder & faster then half the people that were there! I am so GLAD I had the funds to share this most wonderful & intriging moment with my children! The only unfortunate part about it, I will never be able to go to one of his concerts with out them again, So I thank my lucky stars that I got to see him by myself (w/a friend) 5 times before I took them.
P.S. & so what?!? was I suppose to take them to see Brittney Spears ( The real dirty) Yea, what a waste of money & a major dissapointment that woulda been. I made the ULTIMATE BEST choice & WILL do it again!

All U purple hippies bang your head on the 1
& THAT INCLUDES EVERY1 !!!!! No matter what age!!!

You shouldn't worry about what other people say. I took my 6 year old to four shows and she got to dance and sing on stage with PRINCE at all 4!! She had a great time and still talks about him and the music all of the time. I think that is what it is all about - the music. You know your children and what they can handle, no one else does.

I think it was AWSOME that you took your little ones. If I had the funds I would have taken mine. Prince's concerts in the past were really wild. The musicology tour was totally different. In fact, at the recent San Jose concert, he brought a kid on stage to dance. I'd have to agree with you too regarding Ms. Spears.....really slutty, and yet you see nothing but kids at her shows. Good for you mom cool
