Nancy Pelosi!

I have always loved Nancy Pelosi. Because she is so effective right-wingers have grown to hate her. And that makes me love her even more.

Now she is going to be front and center again, this time keeping this orange piece of shit in his place.

She is all right - but honestly, I am ready for new blood. They need younger representatives, younger leaders in the Dem party, IMO

Yeah, well when a better more experienced person comes along.

I will alway love her for her for Obamacare. She took all the heat from right wingers and weirdos on the left to get that through

She's a tough ole broad who knows Washington and definitely knows this current president well. Many people forget that donald was a big donor to her, Chuck Shumer and Hillary Clinton before he "saw the light" and decided to run for president as a republican.

-

Like others have said, I don't mind new blood either but who is younger out there that can be just as affective or better than her for the Dems?

-

I'm sure there's someone out there.

She’s a badass!

She’s never caved or broke even with the constant hardcore FOX, Hannity, Rush, and all the other right-wing attacks. She’s wiped them them off with a smile and a brush off. Who else could have done that? Most on the left are cowardly fragile eggs that crack and run at the slightest criticism.

I do have my eyes on Kamala Harris though. California women are the baddest.

If she thinks for even one nanosecond that she will ever get even one scintilla of cooperation from any Right Winger (fka "Republican"), she is a loser.

She needs to look Kevin Brady and the rest of the Right Wing leadership straight in the eye, tell them "Go fuck yourselves" and then pretend as if they do not exist.

That is EXACTLY how the Right Wingers ran the House and treated the Democrats these last eight years. They are NOT going to change and become nice..

Take this to the bank: Being the minority party is going to make the Right Wingers and Right Wing President Trump nastier than they've ever been.

They were calling Dems obstructionists even when the GOP held the House the Senate and WH. Watch them toss that shit in heeps over the next two years

What did Pelosi do to deal with the huge housing, homeless issues?

Rent control failed at the polls because of big money. Homeless tax did pass but Pelosi had nothing to do with it.

I don't know of anyone that can match Nancy right now.

Nancy is battle tested and effective. It would be a grave mistake to not have her as speaker. She gets things done. She knows what she's doing.

Was instrumental in winning back the house. The strategy to win it back was hers.
She had an interview on CNN and spelt it all out.

I think that the voters were instrumental in winning back the house. We've had enough of their crap. I don't think she has done much over the past 3 years. I think she has become ineffective.

Instrumental in the strategy and planning. She set the plan as to how they should all run this election. She told them to all not take the bait on immigration for example.

Do you have anything to back that up? We need to post some sources once in awhile, otherwise it's all opinion.

I'm with Ugot and Musicslave. New Reps didn't win back the House. We should let her keep leading and bring along someone else to eventually take her place.

The Repubs have been demonizing Pelosi forever because she IS effective. Case in point below:

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/nancy-pelosi-wrap-up-smear/

Snopes Fact Check - Did Nancy Pelosi Admit Democrats Use a Tactic Called the ‘Wrap-Up Smear?’

Miscaptioned

All along, partisan supporters of Kavanaugh had portrayed Dr. Ford as a dupe, at best, in an alleged conspiracy by Democrats to derail the nomination by smearing his reputation. The day Kavanaugh was confirmed, a video clip began making the rounds in which House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-California) could allegedly be heard revealing the Democratic Party’s template for such attacks, a tactic she called the “wrap-up smear”:

The clips are authentic in the respect that they were extracted from an actual C-SPAN video of Pelosi’s weekly press briefing on 22 June 2017, but seriously misleading in the respect that they were trimmed in such a way as to omit their original context.

As a longer clip and transcript clearly show, Pelosi was calling out Republicans for conducting wrap-up smear campaigns, not touting the phenomenon as a go-to strategy for Democrats:

PELOSI: Because, basically, at the end of the day that’s what people are interested in — their representative and what their representative is going to do for their district. Republicans are afraid of that contrast in a race. Because they’re going to go there to be involved in trickle-down economics, shutting down hospitals, and the rest of it. So they don’t want them to see that contrast, so they focus on something else. And it’s a diversionary tactic. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. You demonize, and then you — we call it the wrap-up smear. You want to talk about politics? It’s called the wrap-up smear. You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest, and then you merchandise it, and then you write it, and they’ll say “See, it’s reported in the press that this, this, and this,” so they have that validation that the press reported the smear, and then it’s called a wrap-up smear. “Now I’m going to merchandise the press’s report on the smear that we made.” It’s a tactic, and it’s self-evident.

Pelosi is a good politician - she gets how it works and she knows the terrain.

But I am excited about the new younger women members of the House and would like to see one of them rise to speaker one day.
