Stevie Wonder on new Louis Farrakhan album

Makes me think less of Stevie that he’d associate with a known racist and anti-Semite. 👎🏻

More than likely they don’t and probably voted for trump.
Farrakhan has said some problematic things but he is right about some stuff as well.
It’s so funny how people get up in arms about anti-semitism but don’t show the same concern about racism happening in your own country.

Download all the shit hop that you can for your kids, neices, nephews, and their friends also. That will prevent them from going out and buying it and will prevent some shit hop sales. Every little bit helps - Andy

Let me make myself clear. There are white celebrties who have supported as well as associated with Donald Trump. I do not see anyone getting upset with them about it.

Mr. Trump has said many racist things and controls this country but as long as he does not say anything anti-semetic it is all good.

I could also apply this a boat of load of other promient people.

Anti-semitism is real but you can't call for somebody's head over that yet stay silent when a police officer kills an innocent person of color, for instance.

You really want to go here?

Irony! The New York Times (front page) just spoke about the deafening silence of Jews not speaking up and out about the rise of Anti-Semitism, in the United States. Why could that be? Cuz a certain someone in the White House who's also an anti- semit is about to moved US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Or could it be once again (against our interest) we may tear up the Iran nuclear deal? Trump has made numerous slurs yet Be-Be has kept his MF mouth shut. Don't come in here with this shit... it hurts my heart a dime of my tax money supports a regime that's really no different than the people that tortured and killed them. But as I've always said, Most people aren't really all that mad that they are being killed and debased... they are pissed they aren't power to do the same. Humanity at its core is evil.

"This has been 14 years in the making and it started in 2002 with a brother, he may be on the wall somewhere, Charles Veal ... he helped me in my playing of the Beethoven Violin Concerto with the symphony in Los Angeles. And he said, ‘Minister would you be willing to do an album?’ and I said ‘yes’ so we started,” Min. Farrakhan explained.

“At last, at last,” the Minister continued with a good-natured laugh, “my album has come along.”

Min. Farrakhan thanked the late Mr. Veal for gathering some of the greatest musicians and entertainers in the world to be a part of the project. Mr. Veal, a dear friend to the Minister and a master violinist, orchestra leader, multi-instrumentalist and singer from California, passed away in 2009.

“Let’s Change The World” was recorded in 16 studios across the country including Mosque Maryam in Chicago. “It’s 45 songs in every genre you can imagine,” said Min. Farrakhan. The project includes classical, gospel and jazz, folk, opera, rap, reggae and calypso. “So, it was my life’s journey in music,” said Min. Farrakhan who began playing violin as a little boy and was a popular entertainer known as “The Charmer” before joining the Nation of Islam and becoming a student of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1955.

This project features many award winning musical icons and legends from several different genres. The 7 CD box set retails for $250 and can be bought here. Some of the guests on the album include Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills, Common, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Damian Marley and Teena Marie.

For 65 years straight, the #1 genre in music, selling wise, was rock n' roll worldwide. Last year (2017) in June, it got de-crowned by hip hop. Hip hop is the #1 genre. It's hip hop - rock - country - pop or pop - country. ~ Pras

Stevie has said ZERO anti-semitic comments, so please don't associate him with that stuff. This collaboration is about music, not about politics. None of these collaborators are nation of islamists and none of them have any desire to be.

Chaka is also on the project. I remember back in 1985 when she showed up at one of Frarashan's rallies and performed a shortened version of her song "Freedom" acapella. Warner Brothers stopped promoting her after that. lol

Warner Brothers told Chaka's she'd never work again, of course that didn't happen. Arsenio Hall was told the same thing....again that didn't happen.

I remember Paul Mooney saying something about that in one of his comedy albums. Barbara Walters and Arsenio both interviewed the minister around the same time frame, one lost his show after that and the other had more regards from his peers.

Tea baggers? WTF are you talking about. Farrakhan is an anti-Semite and a racist. If Stevie Wonder did something with Donald Trump I’d call him out for that too. Racism and anti-semitism isn’t a left/right issue.

Personally, do not care. For example, I love Madonna and she has done and said some off the wall shit. I'm in it for the music. Music is an escape from life and where I believe it goes wrong is when/if people record political albums or are athletes and have an opinion about everything political and ESPN turns into a political commentary network. Sports are an escape from politics just like music. Now if they have an opinion I don't care. If they are ranting nonstop at concerts is where I would probably not go see them. I can get that watching news.

lol You’re fucking joking right? Critisism of Trump on racism/misogyny et al are so widespread it’s borderline universal. And rightly so. He’s a fucking menace.

And so is Farakhan. Can we criticise both or does that not fit within your identity politics? Try watching something other than Fox News to see how people feel about your president.
