Anyone for banning the AR15 must be on the side of the criminal as once banned only criminals will have them.

Wealthy or poor, it doesn’t make sense to keep people in jail for things like driving without a license, when they can be fined, free, and given time to pay that fine. It would cost taxpayers money to keep them in jail just for that. They will still have to pay a fine regardless if they have the bail money or not. Forcing them to pay bail is just another way of sucking people dry to fill a city’s pockets. Bringing in dollars for cities, is one of the pressures/tactics heads of police depts. and their superiors, put on police officers.

Exactly. They are given ticket quotas to fill.

In NOLA, If you get picked up on the weekend for anything from a minor infraction to a felony, you WILL stay in Orleans Parish Prison until at least Tuesday. Because the capital, Baton Rouge, holds the purse strings for all of Louisiana. They have a deal with the city to pay them for 3 days of holding/processing. So, no matter who your Daddy is, OPP is going to keep you for that 3 days to collect their money from "the state".

it is exactly jealousy! "if I cannot have one no one should be allowed" It is the idea that misery loves company.

Actually is it worst than that! More like "If I can not have one or if I just do not like it or if I can make up one thing about it that is bad then it should be banned"

Jealous? spit of being a total asshole? I am guessing this is something you aspire to?! biggrin

I'd rather be poor and have empathy towards my fellow human beings than know that my wealth was made from slave labor.

That's a little harsh. I would rather have things so I'm not dependent on anyone or anything. When I do end up with millions. I worked for it.
