I was watching the BBC last night and had a real shock

There's a fake humanitarian group working in Syria called The White Helmets who have been lionized in the West. A propaganda film about them even won an Academy Award this year. I've pointed out before that they are jihadi collaborators funded by the West to assist in the removal of the Assad government in Syria.

Well anyway, while watching the news last night I found out that some of them have been found dead in Syria. So the report begins and I'm thinking "Here we go again. Now I've got to sit through three minutes of pro-war agitprop where they portray these jihadists as saints and try to ramp up the anti-Assad, anti-Putin fever". I was debating whether or not to change the channel. But to my surprise the report took a different tone.

For the first time ever on mainstream TV the report actually pointed out some of the criticisms of The White Helmets, acknowledging that "some" of its members have "in the past" been jihadists, pointing out that many say they are still too cozy with jihadists, pointing out that they are indeed funded by Western governments, pointing out that they only treat casualties in rebel-held areas. The report even suggested (by implication) that some of this could possibly explain why some of its members had been killed. Furthermore, there was not one mention of Assad in the whole report.

What to make of this complete change in tack by the BBC? Is it just an isolated honest report before they go back to their usual propaganda? Could be, but it could also reflect a change in government policy. The BBC (like the entire mainstream media) back up the government's war agenda. If the government has given up on regime change in Syria that could explain the change in the BBC's reporting. I say this only because Donald Trump recently ended the CIA program which armed the jihadists in Syria. Britain is the 51st state and usually follows America in these matters. The new French President Emanuel Macron has also spoken out against the regime change policy in Syria.

Could it be that the West is coming to its senses over Syria? I will be an optimist for the moment and dare to hope.

Of course it could be that they're going to ditch the jihadists (like The White Helmets) and just bomb Assad out of office themselves, but for the moment let's be optimists.

Stop repeating your lunacy that Britain is the 51st state. It is not and never will be. Puerto Rico is the de facto 51st state. You've never even been to the US.

If your last December came, what would u do?

That is a quote I actually got from Chuck D, an American! It's basically just my catchy way of saying the same thing that Robbie Williams (a Brit) once said; "We're America's bitch!"

Now, do you have anything at all to say about the actual topic?
