‘Welcome to Hell’ protesters vow to disrupt G-20 meeting.

In what may be a preview of the scene in Hamburg during the meetings between the leaders of the world’s 20 leading economies, protesters converged Thursday night for a demonstration called “Welcome to Hell.”Up to 100,000 protesters were expected in the coming days, and 20,000 police officers from across Germany and neighboring countries were dispatched to provide security.

The crowds massed on Thursday just beyond the area cordoned off by the police where the summit meetings were scheduled to take place. On Wednesday night, several peaceful protesters filled the streets, gyrating to techno dance beats. But the crowds on Thursday were larger and more aggressive.

Protesters clad in black and wearing balaclavas, which are forbidden by law during protests in Germany, threw bottles and stones at helmeted police officers who responded with water cannons and pepper spray.

Residents and workers at businesses in the area were anxious.

“We’re a bit worried that the protesters will destroy the shop, and I’m worried about being able to get home,” said Jennifer Gand, who works at a retail kiosk in the St. Pauli district in central Hamburg. “But what can you do other than treat the protests like they don’t matter and carry on?”

About a dozen armored police trucks formed an extended barricade near the main train station in St. Pauli and riot police officers took up positions on the streets.

“Everyone is afraid, the roads are closed — it is really hard and horrifying,” said Sabine Kühl, a designer who lives in Hamburg and was waiting for the protesters to arrive.

sad I saw that. They came prepared for the water blasts, though.

World attention - they are getting it.

And they persist...

A large number of these so-called protesters are nothing by unemployed thugs that have nothing better to do than create destruction. I'm quite sure a large percentage of these folks don't understand the issues or have any ideas about how to improve things.

- I'm all for protesting, but this is disgusting and needs to stop.

Heard a good reason as to why today's protesters are kinda nutty. In the 60s most protesters took years off to protest. With student debt getting in the way today's students just cannot take off time to be well reasoned lefties.

Right didn't think so.

The Parliament of Germany, the Bundestag, has a plural multi-party system, with two major parties, the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), with its sister party, the Christian Social Union (CSU) in the same parliamentary group, also known as CDU/CSU or the Union.

I like people protesting G20.... Right up until they show up in masks, start fires, damage property, attack people... They invalidate their righteous protests by becoming a mob of terrorists.

Assholes.

These so called anit-fascists have smashed up Hamburg and attacked and set alight peoples parked cars and businesses, thrown objects at stranded buses with innocent women , children and men on. They are a terrorist group, faces covered dressed in black and out for trouble. Anybody in there way meaning the innocent it's tough luck. This is not disrupting the G-20 meeting because they are safely guarded. This is disrupting innocent people lives the opposite to what they are meant to be doing. Time to bring in the army where ever antifa are in the world and clear them of the streets and arrest them all.

noun: terrorism
  1. the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. Exactly what Antifa did in Hamburg.

If you search the org for 2freaky's comments on antifa you will find he's gone from insisting they don't exist, to claiming they are irrelevent, and finally to insisting that they are peaceful protesters and deflecting that only right wingers are violent. He's bent over backwards in his justification of what he considers "allies".

In another thread, one week ago today, he claimed that antifa violence was "made up".

As expected, his dishonesty on the topic has been exposed. Clearly he supports terrorism.

PC police in America?? How is that when many of them have murdered innocent, unarmed men and children and get away with it?

Take a step back and look at the bigger picture 2E. Go out late at night and you can see crime is winning. The cops are not winning but criminals are ruling. Yes some bad cops but also cops are on the edge because they are on a leash and it is dangeous out there. The crime rates dropped because cops are allowing criminals to operate because criminals are protected. Yes things can go bad but usually it is from a cop being on the edge.

ANTIFA are there to start violence. So what do you believe will happen?

This is the rise of the ISIS style group that I predicted would happen a few years ago.

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security has designated antifa as a terrorist group. Hopefully this is just the start and we will see a consensus on this opinion.
