The Trump/Russia narrative is falling apart.

Realizing that you've been conned by people you trusted is never easy. And when you've been lied to by multiple sources and passionately believed the lie and got great pleasure and satisfaction from the lie then it's even harder to face reality when it becomes clear that the story you took to your heart was just that: a story.

In the last week alone the promoters of the Trump/Russia conspiracy theory have taken some major blows. First of all, CNN was forced to fire three of its reporters for a story about Trump's alledged collusion with Russia that was so embarrassingly wrong that even CNN had to take some action.

Next, an undercover sting operation by Project Veritas filmed a senior producer at CNN, John Bonnifield (who's worked at CNN for 15 years) admitting that there is no evidence to back up the story that Trump "colluded" with Russia. He said that CNN were pushing it because it was good for ratings, but most of his colleagues at CNN don't actually believe it. eek Whoops!

And now, the New York Times has been forced to correct a lie which Hillary Clinton first told in her October Presidential debate and which the entire establishment uncritically repeated thousands of times; the claim that 17 US intelligence agencies have confirmed that Russia interfered with the US election. Actually the real figure is 4, not 17, and not one of those 4 stated it as a fact (the NSA for example only said that they were "moderately confident" that it happened).

Now, WikiLeaks and other anti-establishment outlets pointed out IMMEDIATELY that Clinton's claim was an easily disprovable falsehood and yet the establishment media regurgitated it ad nauseum. Once again, we see if you want logic and reason on these matters you have to go away from corporate media; away from the establishment. Julian Assange was correct when he calmly and logically explained why Clinton's "17 agencies" claim was false. Glenn Greenwald was also correct. Now, 9 months later, the New York Times has been forced to admit it.

Rachel Maddow is deceiving you. The DNC are deceiving you. Your blind faith in these con artists is every bit as embarrassing as the blind faith of Trump supporters.

Yup. The DNC (as well as the Republicans) and the mainstream American media are controlled by corporate elite. I think a lot of people are scared of saying that. It's nothing to be scared of, just something to be aware of.

Some people in the United States want to go to war with Russia.
There has been nato military circling Russia and its borders for a while now.
I wonder how much this has to do with the "BRICS' currency?

What amazes me is that liberals can see that the conservative media is bullshit, but still trust the liberal media and likewise conservatives see that liberal media is bullshit while still trusting conservative media. It's obvious to anyone who pays attention to both, that they are both bullshit, propaganda providing echo chambers, telling people what they want to hear to keep us divided.

Right wing media is easy to bash. The liberal narrative about Russia is fake news, Trump or no Trump. I loath Trump but love truth more. Look at his finances, that is the real scandal.

He must have been watching the news stations earlier this week, when a guest on one of the cable stations, mentioned that trump learned how to use the same type of mind games, during his campaign to lure the audience he wanted, from when he appeared on WWF, sometime ago, and I believed shaved Vince McMann's (sp?) head. Goes to show you the conman trump is. He still displays himself as someone desperate for 24 hour attention.

Doesn't McMann's wife have a position in trump's administration?

News right down the middle with no opinions, insults jokes would be a winning formula right now but it is no where to be found....if your gonna show one tweet or certain tweets show ALL the tweets....good, bad and ugly is there...show it all...it's not all bad and ugly but that is what the focus is on 24/7.

Trump is not of sound mind; there is something seriously wrong with him. A President should have "class" and some "intellect" and earn "respect" around the world; not posting ridiculous tweets and wanting constant attention. He clearly suffers from several personality disorders, and Narcissism is just one of them. It's really sad and embarrassing for Americans. People thought it was funny at first, but the joke's over. It's going too far now and where is the line drawn? When does someone say "enough" already!! disbelief

True and the pathetic thing is that many of his supporters condone his behavior. Now what does that say about them?

The right wingers on here accusing the left of violence, yet there is trump condoning violence by posting a vid of himself, beating up on someone in a wwf vid as a way of attacking some in the media. Now if some nutcase out there takes that as a pass to go out and do harm, to someone in the media, then trump will be the blame for encouraging that.

That vid proves he encourages violence against anti-trumpers and anyone who criticizes or disagrees with his views or behavior. That fool is making the repubs in congress and his right wing supporters look like violent, crazed nuts.

Exactly! And, with a President like Trump, how are we ever going to earn respect around the world? Here is a Man who made millions (if not billions) in real estate, built tall buildings, and had a successful reality t.v. show (The Apprentice), yet as President of the United States of America, he acts as though he never graduated High School!!

.

Someone who is elected President of the United States should behave in a respectful manner, and should carry out their duties with dignity and pride! Where is the morals and ethics here??!! He's a complete joke of President, and quite frankly, it's very difficult for me to even refer to him as such. He degrades and disrespects women and mocks people with disabilities, and that isn't even the tip of the iceberg!!

.

What's also sad is that OUR CHILDREN are seeing this in the news and in social media. What kind of message does this send to them? Trump acts like this is all one big joke to him! All of you who voted for him got hoodwinked, for sure!!

.

People may have not liked Obama and his administration, but at least the Man had intellect, class, and behaved in a respectful manner that made us all proud to call him "President".

.

Think about this once; imagine if any of us behaved at our professional jobs the way Donald Trump behaves as President. Do you think you would have a job tomorrow? NO!! disbelief

.

Okay, that's my rant for today! Yea, and I know you Trump supporters will always defend his poor behavior and make excuses and turn a blind eye, because hey, he's making "America Great" again, isn't he? rolleyes

What kind of world do you live in that you hold Johnny Depp to the same standard as you hold CNN or the potus for that matter? He is not reporter or a politician. And the president is not responsible for lower gas prices or the stock market. No wonder you're confused.

Agree, but the trump supporters continue to give trump a pass for his disrespect, but if any of their kids acted like that in school, they'd get suspended or expelled. Sad that many trump supporters condone trump's encouragement of violence, bullying, disrespect towards women, and certain religions, and racial biases towards many groups. There is absolutely nothing great about trump.

Johnny Depp did not do anything wrong; he made a bad joke and yes, it was in poor taste, but he meant no harm to anyone and at least he had the class and respect for American's to apologize, which is something you will NEVER hear from Trump's mouth (I'm sorry, not).

.

Gas prices, stock market, health insurance, taxes, etc............all of those things you listed are a given in life and they always vary, and in reality, the President has very little to do with any of it.

LOL....if banking institutions, other countries etc have no faith in a leader or a country then guess what happens?? Stocks start tanking etc ...they are a given in life huh? Really??/ WoW just Wow !!!...And of course ignored & left out of your comment is the example given of Obama implementing & wanting to fine folks down & out with no health insurance that this current President tore up in shreds....Wow just Wow !!!

I’m a liberal and I’ve stated here from the start that it was a non issue.
That what Russia has supposedly done we. Have done and have celebrated it in popular culture. Movies and TV shows.

CNN is garbage. I’ve stated that since forever. If I ran CNN I would have fired Wolf Blitzer and all his producers a long time ago.

The conservatives are as bad as supposedly the liberals because if this was Obama you’d be the one going on and on about it far more than liberals. Certainly more than me as again I’ve stated all along it was a non issue.
