not sure that is true... are you basing that on the totally wrong pictures we have seen or some other wacky notion? would a hippy use Jesus powers to kill a stingy fig tree? would a hippy tell people to sell their cloak and buy a sword? Would a hippy spend years learning the Torra? *you are aware that Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi right?*

Hippies did use Jesus powers, all the time. Of course Jesus said everything attributed to him in the Bible, especially about buying weapons. Yes, many hippies were avid learners. If you can't spell Torah, look it up.

missing comma in: "Of course Jesus said everything attributed to him in the Bible, especially about buying weapons."

A comma is missing between "course" and "Jesus." Sure, it is very minor and she did use the rule in the sentence that follows, however, since she pointed out my spelling error I returned the favor. Most of the time, I do not care about such things.

Okay, thanks. Yeah that's one of the "rule changes" with grammar. It used to be, put a comma in writing wherever there's a pause when you actually say the sentence out loud. Sometimes I say "of course" with a pause after it, sometimes I don't (like when I'm emphatically answering a question by repeating a portion of the question being asked).

"Do you think you're intelligent?"
"Of course I'm intelligent, why would anybody think otherwise?"
"
Of course, why would anybody think otherwise?"

See the difference there? When verbalizing the first response, there's no pause after "course".

When verbalizing the second response, there's a pause after "course".

Poppy is a she?

Jesus was an Essene Jew

The Essenes (in Modern Hebrew: אִסִּיִים‎, Isiyim; Greek: Ἐσσηνοί, Ἐσσαῖοι, or Ὀσσαῖοι, Essenoi, Essaioi, Ossaioi) were a sect of Second Temple Judaism that flourished from the 2nd century BCE to the 1st century CE which some scholars claim seceded from the Zadokite priests.[1] Being much fewer in number than the Pharisees and the Sadducees (the other two major sects at the time), the Essenes lived in various cities but congregated in communal life dedicated to asceticism (some groups practised celibacy), voluntary poverty, and daily immersion. Many separate but related religious groups of that era shared similar mystic, eschatological, messianic, and ascetic beliefs. These groups are collectively referred to by various scholars as the "Essenes." Josephus records that Essenes existed in large numbers, and thousands lived throughout Roman Judaea.

The Essenes have gained fame in modern times as a result of the discovery of an extensive group of religious documents known as the Dead Sea Scrolls, which are commonly believed to be the Essenes' library—although not conclusive. These documents preserve multiple copies of parts of the Hebrew Bible untouched from possibly as early as 300 BCE until their discovery in 1946. Some scholars dispute the notion that the Essenes wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls.[2]Rachel Elior questions even the existence of the Essenes.[3][4][5]

The first reference is by the Roman writer Pliny the Elder (died c. 79 CE) in his Natural History.[6] Pliny relates in a few lines that the Essenes do not marry, possess no money, and had existed for thousands of generations. Unlike Philo, who did not mention any particular geographical location of the Essenes other than the whole land of Israel, Pliny places them in Ein Gedi, next to the Dead Sea.

A little later, Josephus gave a detailed account of the Essenes in The Jewish War (c. 75 CE), with a shorter description in Antiquities of the Jews (c. 94 CE) and The Life of Flavius Josephus (c. 97 CE). Claiming first hand knowledge, he lists the Essenoi as one of the three sects of Jewish philosophy[7] alongside the Pharisees and the Sadducees. He relates the same information concerning piety, celibacy, the absence of personal property and of money, the belief in communality, and commitment to a strict observance of Sabbath. He further adds that the Essenes ritually immersed in water every morning, ate together after prayer, devoted themselves to charity and benevolence, forbade the expression of anger, studied the books of the elders, preserved secrets, and were very mindful of the names of the angels kept in their sacred writings.

Pliny, also a geographer, located them in the desert near the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.[8]

But we digress.

Let's get back to how comically stupid Donald Trump is.

Then the church you were raised in IGNORED that part of the Bible. It is funny and sad that you seem to not have read the Bible or you did not comprehend what you read or you simply pick and choose that which you use and what you do not use to make a point. Not that is necessarily a bad thing but at least acknowledge that is what you are doing.

Building a case for Jesus as a non-pacifist using bible verses? Don't waste my time. Some of my ancestors were marked with tattoos and murdered for their pacifism. Very few escaped.

yeah, now I am not sure if you are loling because there are more than 20 or that you do not believe that i did... Now yes I know there are many versions of the bible... but of the 20 I checked all of them had the same thing...not that it was a random sample but it was a decent sample.

As this thread was based on 13cjk13's Sig I am using that as a basis when I said the Bible THE ONE SHE USED for her Sig (which is Bait) also says what I said that Even Jesus limits forgiveness. And he also said to sell your cloak to buy a weapon.

You should roll like that if you want to have any credibility.

I study biblical history, and I have never come across any scriptures in the new testament even remotely similar to what you are saying.

So unless you back up your assertion with some proof, I am going to assume that you pulled it straight out of your ass for our consumption.

Or you believed someone else who pulled it straight out of their ass for your consumption.

Anyway,

Donald Trump is so stupid that it is funny.
