ironic! when it was trump saying the elections could be rigged he was mocked... but not all of a sudden it is a real thing? Now that is Hyper-partisanship!

Not making any assumptions about you, but if this were a potential scandal about Obama ordering golden showers and collaborating with Russia to win an election the Republicans would collectively die of an aneurysm.

that is total make belive on your part. we have barack on tape making a pledge to be more flexible with Russia after he is re-reelected.

Yes there is evidence, however scant it may be. We have intelligence agents corroborating with certain elements of this story, according to the reporters that have been working on the story since August 2016.

Trump was mocked because he made a claim about the election being rigged when there was no evidence...the only irony here is the fact that he may have been the one doing the rigging.

No, it's not make believe. Republicans were able to make mountains out of molehills in regards to Obama's place of birth, yet I'm supposed to brush aside accusations of the election being infiltrated? Also, a link to the tape please?

there are accusations and assertions that may be being investigated but that is not the same as evidence that trump was working with russia to hack the election.

I agree that trump went way too far with his claims of being rigged....but it was not all that different than what barack had said... but still, the left making these claims now is funny as it shows their double standard.

and few big name repubs made an issue out of his place of birth. most of it had to do with his birth certificate and other questions of eligibility.

SO WHAT! I would imagine Trump's people were in talks with many foreign countries, Russia included during his election. It's called dealing with foreign policy folks.

He wasn't even elected then. How many normal joes are in talks with foreign countries if they aren't even a politician? lol

He got the RNC to water down its support of Ukraine/criticism of Russia in its platform. He also campaigned for NATO to stay out of any Baltic or Eastern European conflict.

Despite Trump's comments to the contrary, the RNC servers were hacked, too. It's just that those emails were not leaked to wikileaks or made public.

All of Trump's talk about the DNC not having good cyber security, while the RNC did, is total BS.

They based that conclusion, in part, on another finding — which they say was also reached with high confidence — that the Russians hacked the
Republican National Committee’s computer systems in addition to their attacks on Democratic organizations, but did not release whatever information they gleaned from the Republican networks.

The scariest thing I've heard all day was at Trump's press conference when he was asked when he will make his tax returns public, he said, "I won. No one cares about those except you".

In other words, if you didn't vote for Trump then your concerns and opinions don't count.

That literally shook me to my core.

he is not required to release them and that is not how i took it... i do think he should release them. he said he would as soon as the audit is over... but then he needs to release all of his prior returns...

but even if he does feel that way that is very much the same nasty "i won get over it" attitude that barack had.

There are two separate issues here:

.

1. The Russian attempts to influence the election including its cyberwar activities: This is at the very least verified to the level that most senior people of all colours agree that Putin did act. Even if he did not, the accusations will lead to better management of systems by both parties and for government systems to reduce the chances of this happening by anyone in the future - it is the correct response to be concerned about the Russian hacking accusations and do something about it.

.

2 The Russian attempts to groom and compromise Trump: This has not been verified. There is no positive outcome from either side jumping up and down as yet. All we know is that accusations have been made. No one in the press (who have been sitting on this for a long time) or the IC are known to have been able to verify the substantive and crucial parts of it. Both Trump and Obama have been briefed about the report. Policy changes about Russian and the Ukraine do not prove Trump is compromised.

If it is then it needs to be ignored, problem is, simply saying it's a hoax is a convenient effortless way of excusing the act of brushing it aside.

Where are you getting that this is a fake news story? You are drinking the Trump KoolAid. It's not a fake news story.

I'll tell you what's embarrassing, and that's the way Trump acts. Sheesh, It's gonna be a looong 4 years.

Forget the golden showers...if Trump or any members of his campaign staff received sensitive information about the Democrats from Russian intelligence, or if they were aware at the time that it was the Russians who were hacking the Democrats...and they went along with it? Lock him up! Lock him up! I do admit that nothing has been proven, we shouldnt jump the gun, but Trump's initial brush off of the Russian hacking rumors looks even more shady now. Where there is smoke there is fire....

Let's face it, nothing is going to happen to Trump. After 1/20/17 everything will be Republician controlled. Nothing will happen to Trump, they aren't going to impeach him, they aren't going to kick him out. It is going to be a long 4 years, with Trump as Putin's puppet and the Republican's as Trump's puppets.

I dont think the Republicans want him either. I'm thinking they believe he is an idiot (he has given more than enough evidence), and that they will be able to control him. But I'm right there with you...they will ignore this. If its true, someone needs to PROVE it so we can boot this clown right out of the oval office. Maybe that's why he keeps discrediting the CIA and other intelligence agencies. So the info they come out with will be "wrong".
