To that, I understand lawmakers and politicians will have their religious influence affect their FEELINGS on certain issues, but those feelings have no bearing on fairness, equality, and interpretation of the law of the land.

That's a poor question that presupposes at some point they should, just where to we place that point on the curve.

Politics are man, religion is God. Separate spheres.

I partially agree with you, Ice Cube. The part that I don't agree is that religion is God. Not true. Religion is man's attempt of organizing God into a digestible form. God was around before religion was started.(if you believe in God)

I stand corrected. I didn't mean that literally but that God was of the religious sphere (of influence).
