The Responsibility of the Sane Mind & the Power of Conversion

Quick question for my fellow Orgers:

Let's pretend, for a moment, that we have just agreed to adopt a newborn child.

With this decision made, what would be our responsibility, if any, to protect the child's mental stability?

Would you convert and later de-program your child into Santa Clausism?

Would you protect your child from becoming converted into superstitions that were contrary to your beliefs?

I ask this, partially because of the overwhelming transformation that the mind undergoes, after conversion.

The individual who undergoes conversion becomes convinced that, although unseen, entities exist, and these same entities have a stake in their personal well-being.

So I ask, what is our responsibility to our children, to ourselves, our families, friends, and foes, to the protection of sanity? Because once converted, the affected individual tends to become irrational;

'there is nothing that you can do or say, to convince me that Santa didn't hear my prayers or that Santa does not exist!'.....'you cannot prove to me that Santa does not exist, look around, the evidence is everywhere'....

I pose this question in all seriousness and invite anyone and everyone to reply.....

Can you see cold? Does cold exist? How do you know cold exists if you can't see cold?

If you don't lock up your child at home, you will never be able to protect them from everything.

lol

What I mean is that children are exposed to a multitude of people and ideas every day so they only way to protect them, if that is what you want to do, is to keep them locked up.

Basically I'm calling bullshit on the thread premise.

Perhaps I may have been more clear.

What would be the harm in allowing a child to grow into adulthood with the idea of Santa, as being a fact? The same mental functionalities used to imagine and perpetuate Jesus, are the same ones to be used to perpetuate Santa.

-Neither exists Actually
-Both exist in self-created Realities

The harm would be self-delusion!

The point and purpose of this thread is the acknowledgement of the importance of guarding ones mind from mental self-trickery. Each of us has the capacity to create/dream into existence, the most elaborate deities and mythologies imaginable. But with this capacity comes great responsibility.

I apologize for not making myself more clearly understood.

I hate the way little girls are treated while growing up, as dainty and delicate, only to be thrushed into the cruel world where nothing is ever dainty

I did raise my children to believe in God or Santa even though I believe God exists. You saying unequivocally that He does not, leaves no room for debate.

I propose that Jesus may have been an individual with a following, some 2000 years ago; but that the exalted, resurrected Jesus, exists, just as Santa exists, as a figment in the image-maker (minds) of those who choose to believe/create/sustain....I never stated that 'god' does not 'exist'.

That's another thread altogether....

I agree that there always has been, and always will be, a difference between discussing whether there is a "creator" per se and whether any of the existing theistic god stories we have are valid.
