and yesterday the state of maine took a step back, as though narrowmindedness is contagious, and results in the devolution of the human soul, a return to our more primitive origins sad

I tell ya what...

The U.S. is getting really scary.

I was watching the election results on CNN last night, and this conservative guy was ranting.

If it gets any worse, I swear I wish I could move. sad If the U.S. is going to go neo-con with Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Fox News leading the way, if I could afford it, I would move to a more liberal country.

The problem is that I'm stuck here! sad

I just can't imagine living in a country, dominated by the thinking of Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly, and Fox News.

Last night, this neocon was talking about how the right upheld vision of the our founding fathers. But the thing is the founding fathers were all about compromise. Neo-cons don't want to compromise. It's just scary... all of it.

I feel bad for the gay couples. One minute you are legally married, the next minute you aren't. Talk about confusing people.

The worst thing to do is leave. The best thing to do is stay and fight it. If everyone were to leave, then they have won and it's our country just as much as it is their's. Plus, staying here pisses them off and it's always fun to piss them off. lol

You're right! Besides, I'm not going anywhere!

It's just a real bummer to hear these people talk. That's why I don't watch Fox News, but this guy was on CNN.

He was ranting about how liberals are the worst thing to be, completely opposite of what the founding fathers intended. Where do these people get-off, anyway?

I'm just sick of all the name-calling, polarizing everybody. It sure doesn't help anything, or at least it doesn't from my point of view.

There are idiots on both sides, free your mind and get past the left right paradigm.....

Well, I can't because I AM a liberal. I what I am is all what I am!

And the independents I know lean one way or another, too. They just don't like "labeling" themselves. They pretty much reflect either a conservative or liberal mind-set--some more conservative or liberal than others.

But it's true, I don't necessarily always support the democratic party on everything. It's just very rare I would support the Republican party on anything lol!

That's just CNN letting someone with an opposing view speak. They were one of the networks that FOX labelled as the "liberal media" that wanted to make sure that Obama won. That channel just can't stand it that a black man is president now. It's killing them. lol

I enjoy hearing the opposing views and I love to watch FOX from time to time. It gives me something to laugh at when I'm bored. lol

Yes they could, actually. Gays and lesbians we able to get married in CA for a while before Prop 8 passed.
