A poll asking if President Obama should be killed

WTH?


(CNN) -- The social networking site Facebook on Monday pulled a third-party application that allows users to create polls after a site member built a poll asking if President Obama should be killed.


There are more than 350,000 applications on Facebook. The company says it disables any that violate its terms.

The U.S. Secret Service, the agency assigned to protect the president, has launched an investigation, agency spokesman James Mackin said.

You know I saw some news like that flashing at the bottom of my tv screen yesterday. I hope they investigate the person who started the poll and those who responded and said yes.

That's true and folks need to watch what kind of comments they are making against the President, as like you said, many reading will take much of that content seriously.

Kudos to Facebook for taking action, and taking down the poll, and assisting the Secret Service with that information. Why would anyone participate in such a poll is mind boggling, but then again there's been so much racist and threatening comments against Obama, all over the internet, since he took office. that it doesn't surprise.

Where does it say in this link you posted that the Secret Service said it "wasn't a threat" or that the guy was an Obama supporter?

Whatever the reason or outcome - it was a fucked up thing to do.
