We have come a long way........... Yes, we have come far, but we have still a far way to go. As close as we are to having an African-American President we still have ignorance, racism and hatred among us. We have people who can not except the fact that Obama is in a great postion to win. There are people out there that only except the fact that he may win but he won't make it. In other words they feel he will be killed. They look at that as some type of consolation.

4 years people would have said that a black man would never have a chance to win the presidentincy.
it is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.

Right now, let's do what we know in our hearts is right and we'll concern ourselves with them later! Amen,Hatrina. “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a Communist.” Brazilian bishop Dom Hélder Câmara | |

Right now, let's do what we know in our hearts is right and we'll concern ourselves with them later! Amen,Hatrina. Double Amen!! We can't let fear and racist attitudes continue to divide Americans, that's what the haters work 24/7 to do. In the end, they always lose one way or the other. They create a circle of hate that will eventually come right back around, and slap them hard in the face. They're just too damn stupid and ignorant to know that what you put out...you will get back. But myself as an African-American I can not phantom wishing harm on anyone whether they are African-American, White, Republican or Democrat. Or just because that person think different from I do. Whoever wins I wish them well. They will have a hard job. It's not easy running a nation. Great post, ddsummer. It's great to hear sucha positive attitude right now when so may on the left and the right haven't been so much during this election. And you're right, whoever does win has a tough job ahead of him. Personally I hope you guys elect Obama, but even if it's McCain I wish him well. We are stardust. We are golden.
