Why is that relavant? If it's about ratings, Palin might have beaten bot of them.
But either way, if McCain had more viewers than Obama, good for him. I would bet my vote that he bored the hell out of a lof of them.

I'll be happy to discuss who BEAT whom on November 5th. Till then it's an open question.

that's probable only because Mccain had a lead in of the first NFL game of the Season. NBC switched straight from the end of the game to Mccain's speach so more people were already tuned in, no big supprise

How about the generalization that a lot of liberals who support or would have watched Obama don't own televisions?

Can we discuss how television ratings are and have always been an estimate and are arbitrary at best.....nobody, but me has any idea what I watch on TV.

We can, however, follow the # of youtube views the speeches get.

When a televised load of crap is reason to declare someone a winner of something other than American Idol, I will pay attention to this..

I for one, watch both of the conventions, just to see what is going on, said, etc. A sick sense of fairness I try and commit to every four years.....
So I would think that there would be a lot of folks who would be watching..also that doesn't state how many turned the channel, etc. My husband fell asleep during mccain, so the tv was left on.....

To clarify my position once again, I will not support McCain/Palin, nor am I bitter that Clinton is not the nominee. And just cause I don't march in the party line like so many sheeple, doesn't mean I'm some sort of secret undercover neo con.


All I have said for the most part of this conversation is that McCain/Palin has done one hell of a job of making Obama/Biden have to actually work to win this election.

I have never stated anything negative bout barry, or his policies, besides his song and dance change message. Just because I am able to step back from the issues and see both sides of them, makes me wise and more subjective to this country and who resides in it.

If anything my comments on this election could be seen as a warning or a call to arms of what the left needs to do win in November.
