the american union goes against the foundations on which this country was formed. regardless of how it works or doesn't work for other nations, it is not how this nation was planned. i would bet some money that if you informed everyone about what the AU entails, most americans would be against it.

besides, isn't our economy fucked enough without adding on two more countries?

how many hundreds of years into the future are we supposed to rigidly cling to the past?

and hey, we can't completely predict how it'd effect the economy. for all we know it could stimulate/revitalize it. shrug

right. because the peso has such strong value and mexico is such a wealthy nation. please, the u.s. gov't only wants to do this so they can legally and "ethically" exploit poor mexicans to a higher degree than they already do. i honestly don't see the benefit canada gets aside from the same benefits the u.s. gets in the exploitation of mexican workers.

oh joy, then american citizens can watch jobs go to mexico since the goods would be much more easily transported to the states and that economy would allow for massive under bidding of workers salary.

as for clinging to the past...have you seen what's happened to our country when we DON'T stick to the constitution? take a look around, buddy, things don't look so hot these days.

Somehow I think that most of the founding fathers are rolling in their graves right now with the way things turned out. Iraq alone would probably make Thomas Jefferson's head implode.

interesting, from the video it seemed like 'they' want this so 'they' can chip us all and control us!!1! tease most of the exploitation going on is because they're not citizens of the country and endure that kind of garbage for fear of being deported, right?

you can only export so much labor. shrug and i really don't think it's logical to assume that because the current situation is shit, that means we should never ever deviation from the constitution.

oh yeah, agreed, i think the video is probably 90% crap, but it's worth tossing around the idea of a potential union anyway i guess.

I think the better question is, why would Canadians want you to fuck up our economy?

Canucks with any sense are against the whole concept. Why in God's name would we want to be associated with the U.S. -and all it stands for -more than we already have to be?

I didn't watch the vid so I don't know if it focuses on some conspiracy theory angle like the OP's got going here, but if you don't believe there are plans for a North American Union (NAU), google up the Security and Prosperity Partnership.

I'm firmly against it. We as a country have nothing to gain by creating a SuperCountry on this continent, and everything to lose. Our economy will go even further down the shitter, and it'll open the door even wider for U.S. corporate takeover of our natural resources. Naturally, the PM Harper is all for it. Fuck him in his BushieBitch ear. mad

I'm serious, people. Every citizen of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico owes it to themselves to educate themselves on the subject. It's currently being kept fairly quiet by all 3 governments involved in the hopes they'll sneak thsi one by us.

If the man speaking in this film is right then obama doesn´t really have a chance of being elected because Obama wants to pull out of Irak.
With the people behind him it´d be a sloppy job keeping the troops there.

Then again, if it is true, sloppy jobs have been performed before, like when Al Gore was unelected.

This was indeed a disturbing time in Ami politics. I was shocked by the lack of response from the American people when more than half of their voters were simply ignored.

No; who wrote it?

it´s said to be written by Ayn Rand

Atlas Shrugged is Rand's magnum opus. It is her last, longest, most philosophically detailed, and in the opinion of many, best novel. Since its publication in 1957, it has been her best-selling book.

Summary
The plot is framed as a mystery story, but with strong elements of romance and science fiction, as well as Rand's trademark philosophical ideas. There are actually two mysteries: one about why so many of the world's most productive minds are disappearing, the other about who invented a revolutionary new kind of motor. As you might guess, the solutions to the two mysteries are closely related. Readers follow the struggles of Dagny Taggart, a railroad executive, and Hank Rearden, a steel magnate, as they attempt to answer both of these questions and stave off the collapse of an increasingly irrational and collectivist society.

She´s said to have been ordered to write it by her then time lover, who was at the time top dog in the illuminati.
confused fascinating stuff!?

sounds like rubbish. The illuminati don't exist anymore in the form they were; the global elite created the illuminati; the rothchilds to be exact.
