Sherri Shepherd is a f*cking idiot AGAIN

On the View today, Joy was talking about a Greek philosopher name Epicurus. She mentioned he was around during roughly the same time as Socrates and Aristotle. Joy was mentioning his stance on the keys to happiness. Sherri thought spirituality or a belief in something higher should be referenced. Whoppi mentioned when he was around there was no belief in Jesus. Then:

Sherri:They still had Christians then. They had religion
Whoopi: I think they had their gods
Joy: The Greeks did
Sherri: They had Christians 'cause they threw them to the lions
Whoopi: I think this might predate that
Sherri: I don't thing anything predated Christians
Joy: Oh no, no, no. The Greeks came first, the the Romans, then the Christians
Sherri:Jesus came first before them
Whoopi: Not on paper
Joy: No. It doesn't matter anyway. They didn't believe in Jesus. They believed in polytheism. Many gods

Uh... did she sleep during school? Even if she doesn't know who Epicurus is, who doesn't know that Socrates and Aristotle came before Jesus????

Are there any Christians out there that believe what Sherri believes?

Nope. I was embarrassed for her again. She should have known that Jesus was not always around, hence B.C. and A.D. Sorry Sherri.

That seems 2 be her "role" on the show. Sherri is NOT that uninformed.

Her "role"? I doubt that. To me she seems too wrapped up in religion to know what's really going on with world history. Although, if it is her role and she's accepted it, then she has to deal with the consequences. She could always refuse to act dumb and if she's not willing to refuse, then don't come crying about it later on.

I honestly don't think you pay me enough to state something I clearly know is not true. She must be a really good actress because she seemed convinced on what she was saying

i didn't see this so i can't tell if she's sincere or not but this really has nothing to do with her religion. there are some highly intelligent religious folk who are very well informed on this kind of history especially. this really does make her look stupid. If this is her role she needs to fix it 'cause it isnt good.

Is she the black commedienne? If so, the other day she mentioned Clarence Thomas as someone for the black community to look up to and Whoopi's eyeballs fell out of her head lol

yeah, she was the dumb fuck saying that she would get pissed at a teacher if the teacher allowed her pre-school aged child to play dress up and wear a dress at school.
And she kept ranting on and on about how her son wouldn't ever be allowed to wear a dress as long as he lived under her roof.
Then they proceeded to engage in conversation about what if her son turns out to be gay or decides he's is a transgender when he's 7 or something.

How embarassing for him.

i hate parents like this rolleyes. If she was truly christian she would be accepting of all. and she should be aware that pre-school kids do this all the time-its nothing unnatural about it whatsoever.

oh dear. i feel sorry for her. I think she doesn't know how to express herself or debate very well. and I don't think she's faking. she really doesn't know. and I think that in the midst of her eagerness to defend Christianity (which is not a bad thing at all) she's saying things and not really thinking.

I read her biography that she grew up JW but is now Protestant. I have read JW tracts where they use B.C.E (Before common era) as opposed to B.C. (Before Christ) and C.E. (Common era) as opposed to A.D. (After the Death of Christ). Maybe she truly doesn't know what the hell B.C. means shrug

This is what I think informs her thought on this..... There are Christians here who argue that Jesus pre-dates history itself and that he was around during Adam & Eve, even though clearly Jesus Christ was not a blip on the Bible's radar until he was born in the manger. But they believe in the trinity and therefore believe that Jesus was there at creation. So to her she really believes nothing comes before Jesus because of that line of thinking.

But she might also need education on BC/AD lol

That's probably why Whoopi said "Not on paper." Still, there were not followers of Jesus during that time, so for her to say there were Christians then is like...WTF?? Then again, I also read a Watchtower tract that claimed JWs existing since the beginning of time
