Yep, they're coming after him, or so they say:
Iraqi insurgents target Prince Harry, militia commander tells daily
Fri Apr 27, 8:52 PM ET LONDON (AFP) - Insurgents in Iraq will seek to kidnap Prince Harry when the army sends him there, a commander of Iraq's biggest Shiite Muslim militia, the Mahdi Army, said in remarks published Saturday. "One of our aims is to capture Harry, we have people inside the British bases to inform us on when he will arrive," Abu Mujtaba, a commander in the southern city of Basra, told The Guardian. "We have a special unit that would work to track him down, with informants inside the bases," according to the commander of the militia led by radical cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, quoted by the newspaper. "Not only us, the Mahdi army, that will try to capture him, but every person who hates the British and the Americans will try to get him," he was quoted as saying. "All the mujahedeen in Iraq, the Al-Qaeda, the Iranians all will try to get him," he was quoted as saying. The Guardian said it had no independent evidence to back up his claims that militias have infiltrated British bases, or set up a unit to kidnap Prince Harry, who is third in line to the throne. The newspaper quoted British defence sources as denouncing the commander's remarks as "blatant propaganda." Defence officials said Thursday that Britain's army chiefs are reviewing plans to send Prince Harry to Iraq amid fears he could be targeted, but friends downplayed warnings he may quit if prevented from going. The Ministry of Defence said the 22-year-old's imminent deployment was under "constant consideration," after a newspaper report said army bosses were reviewing the decision amid a spike in British deaths in Iraq. Harry is known as Cornet Wales in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry, in which he is responsible for 11 soldiers and four Scimitar reconnaissance vehicles. A Household Cavalry source warned that Harry would resign if he could not serve on the front line. That young man has some real guts if he goes to Iraq. Does anyone know what Prince Charles' attitude is on this? [Edited 4/30/07 14:39pm] Second Funkiest White Man in America

Hardly anyone complained about Prince Andrew when he went 2 the Falklands I do not see why people are going nuts over Prince Harry wanting 2 do the job he is trained 2 do.

I wonder why they didn't keep this quiet. Won't this media coverage draw him more attention once he's over there? That would make him more of a target, wouldn't it? Wanna hear me sing?

how many people that voted against the funding bill on the right have kids over there? seriously. how fucked up is that? It seems 2 be tradition that royal family members enter 1 of the armed forces the royal family have been doing this through out history nothing new here what is new is how the UK newspapers are doing a sing and dance over it and the word media running with it.

The style of war has changed so much over the years. Katt is right, our Royal family have been active in the services for years but this just feels different.

It's a difficult one. Prince Harry seems willing to go, and if they had refused to send him, then some would say "Ah you expect us to send our kids out there, but it's to risky to send yours because he is royalty'. On the other hand, there is no doubt that he would be a huge prize.

They are already talking of what they will do when they capture him. I think he is a liability to himself and the people in his regiment. Surely he can help in some way that it not going to create even more problems. With all this talk about him I wonder if the British army are concerned the security is not as what is implied that possibly they believe the armed forces has been infiltrated by spys
