Somebody's Gonna Pay IF.... One of my family members or friends gets affected by this "war on terror" or "Operation Iraqi Screwup" or whatever other ignorant venture that this United States government gets us involved in.

I know....I few years ago, Canada looked good to me when they seemed to control all three branches of government. But, I changed my mind then, and I still believe now, that we should stay here and fight for our country, even if it gets messy. I will stand up for my rights and freedoms. This is OUR country, not some elected elite or group of individuals who buy power and steal elections. It's not their country, and it's not the terrorists country, this is MY god-damned country, and I will fight them tooth and nail. But, when one of my family members or friends is put in harm's way by them, it will be ON like Donkey Kong.

[Edited 4/26/07 10:30am] so i suppose ALL of us who aren't joining the military deserve to die as the result of terrorism? With a wail you let them know you're furious, you're back.

But, when one of my family members or friends is put in harm's way by them, it will be ON like Donkey Kong. During the Cold War I might've felt this way, because the very way of life that so many built and died for was directly threatened. Somehow, the end of my family line doesn't seem worth it for this crap that's going on. Right now I think there are bigger things to fight for, then simply handing over my flesh and blood for a rich man's pride, that doesn't necessarily require the shedding of blood, maybe some sweat but not blood. [Edited 4/26/07 10:30am] Some people just don't want to fight, and some are not even cut out for it. To say that they don't deserve to be protected from terrorism is an appalling statement to make!!!! At one point, I did consider leaving the country. I decided to stay and fight my own government for it if necessary.

[Edited 4/26/07 10:30am] I AM willing to fight terrorism- all forms of it, whether domestic or foreign. Our current leadership members are domestic terrorists AND international terrorists, as are businesspersons who cause strife and poverty worldwide.

The people are holding back the SAME sentiments that I am expressing in this thread, but last election, the people spoke, and putting it nicely, we said that we wanted out of Iraq. If this war goes on and on, and enough people get affected by it, and enough families feel the effects and heartbreak of this conflict, there will be civil war in the United States, and we will fight back BOTH the evils of this government AND the evils of terrorism worldwide. We will be the New American Revolution. So, these people better start doing AS WE SAY, because the majority rules. And, imagine that, I don't even own a weapon!
