A Thank You for Jehovah and His Witnesses I'd like to give a genuine Thank You to Jehovah and His Witnesses. You have been relentless in proclaiming your beliefs. Although we sometimes might not agree on specifics there is no greater gift than the gift that You have given me.

Thanks so much for this heartfelt expression... The JW stance on Christian neutrality is one of the major things that makes me cling to these people. How could we otherwise say that we're part of a world-wide brotherhood?

By the way, mz, I'm going to share your post with a Bible student friend who has also been very upset by the way this world is going... it's going to be a huge encouragement to her.

I have a thing or two to share with Jehovah and His Witnesses, but since i'm not as much a pain in the ass as they are, i'll keep them to myself.

Because of the stance that JW's have taken on the issue of God's children serving in man's war i have taken a good look at my belief. Just as the new Army recuitment ad asks parents to encourage children to join the armed services out of pride and duty to our country....many are deceived as to the true nature of war. _____
So what were Christians supposed to do during WW2? Let The Nazis/ Fascists win?

Peace is relative. Some people say, "well, if it hadn't been for war, then Hitler would have continued killing people". That is true, BUT-

Thank you, MzFlash for your kind words, for indeed, I am one of Jehovah's witnesses. I don't adhere to all of the doctrinal teachings of the actual JW religion, but I do share the Love and Peace of Jesus Christ and Jesus' teachings with you, as well as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that we too share as our God. Peace is a wonderful thing, and I too believe that war is wrong and IS avoidable, regardless of what these negative entities within world governments and corporations say. I always enjoy your fellowship, MzFlash, and I continually pray for you and everyone else on this site, that we may all have peace, protection, and prosperity, by the Grace of God and by the redemption of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Your friend always, Jason [Edited 3/25/05 9:32am] Thank You Jason for Your love and prayers. And Thank You for sharing your beliefs with us.

I think it would be called Peace and it would feel so good. Regardless of the faith, if we all believed in the same thing and had the same thoughts, there would be peace. But then... we wouldn't really be thinking for ourselves, and the world would be boring. The eternal struggle is greater freedom = greater chaos, greater security = greater restrictions. So what were Christians supposed to do during WW2? Let The Nazis/ Fascists win? Nah, god was gonna reach down with his mighty hand and smack them to Hades. If Hitler had chosen the correct path of peace and nonviolence, we wouldn't have had the war in the first place! Therefore, peace and nonviolence were STILL the correct actions. Thanks Jason. As individuals we can actively promote peace by our postitive actions.

So what were Christians supposed to do during WW2? Let The Nazis/ Fascists win? If they would follow Jesus' teachings they would have done as those Christias did who refused to fight. They went to jail. They were intimidated. They were persecuted. Some were killed. But they gave their lives and freedoms for what Jesus taught... and they are free from bloodguilt. So...how's everybody doing?

Last nite I received a call from my daughter who is serving active duty in the US Air Force. She told me that she just received an email stating that she is no longer on mobility status. Due to her separation from the armed forces in a few months, she will no longer be placed in a 'bucket' which can be deployed at anytime. I feel relief because now i know she won't be among those who go again. Yet until all soldiers are home, i know that there won't be true peace for any of us. Because of the stance that JW's have taken on the issue of God's children serving in man's war i have taken a good look at my belief. Just as the new Army recuitment ad asks parents to encourage children to join the armed services out of pride and duty to our country....many are deceived as to the true nature of war. The day she called to tell me that she was thinking of re-enlisting, i had ammunition ready gathered from these message boards. For all of the noble reasons she stated that she was considering leaving or staying: a good job, education and service to others, nothing compared to God's Word. The JW's interpretation of this rings true to me and i am grateful for the points you made. Some other religions skip this issue because they are brainwashed like others believing government propaganda. We are not here to fight each other and go to war. We are here to serve others and see that we are all brothers and sisters of one loving Lord. Easter weekend means salvation to many. We remember Christ, the son of God who died for our sins so that we may spend eternity with Him. So I'd like to thank Jehovah for the many gifts He gives to us. And i'd like to thank the Jehovah's Witnesses for making His gifts known. Please post here if there is anything that You want to give thanks for. PS. Thanks also for the musical genius of Prince. We are all so proud to see Prince be recognized tonite when he recieves the NAACP award.
This is EASY!!!! I am thankful for this postive post. I also heard Prince will thank Jehovah tonite, Thank You! So...how's everybody doing?

I think Jehovah should be praised and not the witnesses. There are many people who are not Jehovah Witnesses and they love Jehovah with their whole heart, mind and soul and others like themselves. So, I don't think you need to be a Jehovah's Witnesses to make such a stance. Stop praising the witnesses, they are imperfect people. Praise Jehovah the creator of all men instead. Oh yeah...and Prince is a creation of Jehovah also, so stop praising the man, instead give Jehovah thanks for him. Cheers, BatmanX

All things come from God and that is what my post was meant to be about. But i mentioned Jehovah and His Witnesses because they are the ones who brought that specific message heard by me on these boards. In praising Jehovah I was thanking Him for giving us caring people who dedicate their lives to getting the Word of God out there. And i was thanking Jehovah for the creative musical magician named Prince. Sorry You thought that i was praising mere men and women.
