Oliver Stone's Alexander

I was shocked and amazed to see the homoerotic overtones and undertones and how true to history about the relationship Alexander had with Hephesitan. It made me feel all warm and fuzy and proud to be gay.

Granted many in the audienced giggled when the subject was brought up or when Alex made passes at other men. I'm amazed at how far we've come.

There were a few who left, but I guess some people aren't ready to accpet the greatest general in the world was gay.

it is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.

Yeah, it's cool isn't it.

Anyway, I'm interested in seeing how Stone pitches Alexandra's ancestry...was he Macedonian or was he Greek.

Equally, there are some people who still believe Oliver Stones version of the truth.

There are NO historical records concerning Alexanders sexuality. Some Historians believe he may have been bisexual, but I have never heard any say he was gay.

Whilst I agree its refreshing that a non-hetrosexual view can be expressed in a major movie these days, a lot of the time it smells of exploitation to cause a stir and therefore, press coverage.

Judging by the reviews. He'll need it.

Actually, Greece laywers are sueing Mr Stone and the movie co because they want them to edit the bi-sexuality out of the movie or have a special notification that the movie is not a presentation of the real Alexander.

Both directors had plans for an Alexander movie, as well as Baz Luhrmann.

Stone just beat them to it, Ridly-Scott threw in the towel and Luhrman is still pondering his next move.

Can't wait for Luhrman's movie; I'ld love to see Alexander and Hephaistion burst out in song...

Oliver Stone really need to do more reserach about Alexander befor he made this movie. It depicted Alexander as Macedonian but in truth Alexander was both Greek and Macedonian. This bullshit of was he Greek or was he Macey has been going on between the two countries for ever. I am both Greek and Macedonian and I am very proud to be both.As for the gay thing well who knows and who really cares
