Anyone into Deborah Allen Telepahty?

Anyone here like the song "Telepathy" by Deborah Allen. The track was, of course, written and produced by Prince.

I'm beginning to think I'm a really bad Prince fan. There are so many songs (official and boots) that I don't have and have not even heard! It kinda sucks sad

This song could have been a very strong single in 87", but for some reason radio wasn't playing this song much. I seen Deborah Allen sing this song on American Bandstand in 87" and all I kept thinking was this sounds like a Prince song, and then I later saw the video on BET and sure enough I was right it was produced by Prince I believe Donnie Simpson mentioned it on Video Soul...great song.

I never heard this song.I remember reading about it,but I never heard it on the radio in 1987.That was around the time when radio was finally getting tired of Prince. Many of the songs that he produced for others back then ("Mia Bocca","Wouldn't U Love 2 Love Me","101",and "Telepathy") weren't getting much airplay, even though some of these songs are excellent.

I just listened to this song and it sounds like one of the Camille songs.I bet Prince's demo version was sung in his Camille voice, lol.

I knew about it because Video Soul showed the video a lot back when it came out. And you know how Prince friendly BET was back in the 80s.

At least "101" was big on the dance charts thanks to the excellent remix in 1989.

The instrumental version on the 12" sounds like a lost Madhouse track....

Deborah Allen was a country singer before she hooked up with Prince for this one song. I think she wanted to try something different which turned off her country fans naturally.

She must have had some albums out...I bought a "best of" cd from her about ten years ago...from which I only listened to "Telepathy"!

I like that song a lot.
It would have been perfection if Sheena had done it.
