And have you looked at the latest bid for the set of disks? It probably will go through the roof before all is said and done. Wow!

The mods' decision here is truly bizarre, nobody looks at this forum and consequently a pretty major piece of Prince news (I mean we already have all this music but still it's really interesting that it was even pressed in the first place) is gonna be completely buried in a section of the site which never receives any attention.

Anyway, I must say the label on the vinyl looks really good, makes me wonder what the Camille cover art would have been, I assume the weird smiley face cover art that appears on the bootleg version is a fan mock-up and not the genuine article?

Even Rolling Stone magazine understands that this is a big deal, but not the mods on a Prince forum. Go figure...

1) I agree this is huge news & shouldn't have been moved.
2) I totally love the hand written song titles (always loved his expressive, flowery handwriting).
3) Wouldn't it be great if at least a couple of the versions were mixed differently?
4) What a fantastic experimental funk/soul album this would have been if released as is. It would of been a huge success, even more so than SOTT due to length of album & P's continual urge to move forward. It would have been a quick, full on 'funk punch' of an album. 💜💜💜

Yeah, I agree. Isn't this forum for us to sell stuff to each other? That's what it looks like most of the posts are. How does a public auction by someone outside of the org community wind up here? We're not conducting business on this thread, but having a discussion about an unreleased album in effect leaking right in front of our eyes. Sure, we probably have almost exactly the same music in our collections already (but I gotta assume this sounds a bit better for "Rebirth of the Flesh", even though that last Crystal Ball sounded mighty good).

Oh well. It's almost like they read the title and never looked at the post.

I can't believe Rolling Stone was streaming "Rebirth of the Flesh". So which moderator moved this here?

Well I reported this to the mods and according to luv4u.....

"I have reviewed your request to moderate the post at the link above."

That was over 24 hours ago.

All that initial excitement lost.
This is "trending" amongst all the Prince FaceBook pages and yet here, it's hidden in a forum no one looks at.

But hey... let's talk about what song is in our head today instead.

It's kind of like a little model of a government agency or any bureaucracy. They lose citizen faith in their expertise, but hold on to it instead of stepping down (and then who wants to step up? I turned down Moderation here myself years ago), and in trying to work things out, it can get dysfunctional. The long list of stickies were so much like symptom of this. As is trying to condemn any mention of Michael Jackson to be banished to one thread. I guess that's what happens in little startup governments for the people, I mean websites for fans. Of course when the personal beliefs/knowledge of the government is philosophically/factually different from the people they are trying to serve you get something like North Korea! Or certain thread locks that were unwarranted and feel foolish or unjust. But how can you complain? It's all free!

Ha. In this case if someone that was hacker savvy started to pull together resources and minds to create a disruption as a political message, you'd have a cyberterrorist group formed within the org. They could of course attack much firther then this site. I'm surprised it hasn't happened.

There is a whole wave of original orgers that moved over to Facebook. And since Prince's passing, so many interesting groups have formed there (you even get comments from people involved in the photos or recordings). And Housequake is doing a pretty good job there to bring in news and images and discussion.

Kind of like people moving to Canada or Europe that get fedup (or vice versa).

Kind of not surprised...

This is definitely a more worthy topic to be featured in the Music & More forum than photos showing what side Prince used to dress on.

If you're going to remove my comments, then please just delete my entire post.

Dont just leave the price tag where the bidding is at, as this thread is more to do with the album Camille, rather than the auction itself.

Thank you.
