Of course you're also supplying all the original CD's, none of which are bootlegs with this iPod yeah?

If not, then I'm sure you're already aware that what you're doing is illegal?

You're missing the point - what you're doing is BOOTLEGGING as you're including licenced music in the sale of the iPod

I'll make it VERY SIMPLE for you.

You have the CD's that you paid for right ? Well they are licenced. If you were to copy them for use other than for yourselves then that would be illegal - hence the term "bootleg".

If you were to sell your iPod WITH the licenced cd's then that would be legal. However selling your iPod complete with LICENCED music is infringing the licence itself as it's not for resale without permission. I somehow doubt you have WBS permission to re-sell this material.

I think you should find out the law before commenting further.

the correct term in this case is not 'bootlegging' but 'pirating'.

pirating / bootlegging / ripping off - it's all the same and illegal and against Prince.org rules.

Is it international stupid post week ? confused

Look, it's easy to understand - Prince is well known for being the most litigious artist in the music industry, particularly towards fan sites that in any way either provide links to ripped off music, or even openly advertises links to sources.

Ben funds and runs this website purely off his own back and many of us would hate to see it closed purely because of the actions of a couple of selfish fans who just want a few extra $$$'s in their pockets.

I "so anal" because I'm not a selfish little brat who whines on about Prince all the time but doesn't think about who actually spends their hard earned cash on a website giving you the chance to view your one-sided opinons.

Dude, If you think this kind of thing is bootleggin fine I don't see it that way. If you want the post removed why don't you go to mods and have it done or ask the person to delete their post. Why do you have to go off on some sort of rant and insult people?

This type of crap is running people away from this board?
