Beware Of This eBay Seller

Their seller i.d. is iluvkaykay

http://feedback.ebay.co.u...&interval=

They're selling bootlegs of the Vanity 6 album on CD.

The CDs are sealed but instead of being wrapped, they are vacuum packed with no rip-strip.

The titling on the cover's spines is slightly off-centre.

The actual disc is very transparent if held up to an ordinary household lightbulb.

There's no Warner Comms logo indent on the CD case.

Please be aware that they always appear to be selling at least one copy of the album, still-sealed, with comments stating that it's not a bootleg.

How do the graphics on the CD look? Could it be from some odd country?

I am not supporting this seller, but I have a question:

Did CDs always have rip-strips? For some reason I don't think they did in the beginning . . . maybe I'm thinking of CDs within LongBoxes, but I don't know.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember cd wrappers being deviod of rip-strips back in the day (like the 80's)

I bought one of those sealed CDs from that seller and immediately returned it. It was a clearly a pirated copy. The quality of the photos aren't as good as the official CD and the disc itself looks different from the real WB CD. The seller refunded my money with no problems and sounded sincere about not realizing that it was a pirate copy so I didn't leave negative feedback.
