Prince and Stephen King Both are called overprolific, both are recognized geniuses who have passed the days of superstar popularity. Both are quite misunderstood at times and thought of as weird by non-fans. Both are self made, one man industries. Hey, both have royalty in their names.
I think it's also interesting that both seem to possess a great sense of humor that's rarely seen. I've always felt that there was some kind of connection between the two, but could never put my finger on why. I know, this is a weird topic, but it's also a chance for me to voice my thoughts finally. I remember King mentioning Prince in "It", at least I think that was the one, but it was just something along the line of a character seeing the new Prince record in a shop and not wanting it. Stephen King is collaborating with John Mellencamp on a project, Mellencamp is a Prince fan...ok, I'm streching now...

... Stephen King wrote The Shining which starred Jack Nicholson in the movie, and Jack Nicholson is a Prince fan and did the soundtrack to Batman. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Ah, I thought maybe I was just crazy for contemplating such a thing! Glad to see others can see the connection too, not just in the "kevin bacon" kind of way, although that works too!

Stephen King lives in a cold place...so does Prince
Stephen King adds vulgarity to his novels, Prince to his "novels" Stephen King is a musician at heart, so is Prince hmmmm, any more?

Don't talk about "It" when i'm about 2 go 2 bed...lol..that's one scary but extremely bad movie... And by the way, if King was a fan, wouldn't it be best if the character wanted 2 buy the record?
