and speaking of canceled tours...

there is a nasty rumour circulating about madonna cancelling her tour. i've been searching it up but i haven't found any news regarding the tour. while working tonight someone mentioned they heard somewhere that she may have to cancel a bunch of dates...not postpone but cancel. i really hope not since my show is just a week and a half away. i don't think i can take another cancelled/postponed show! first britney, then lollapalooza, then prince and now, possibly, madonna. that would be every summer show i've bought tickets for. ugh!

You have nothing to worry about me,that's just a crazy rumor.Madonna is not cancelling any shows, and she will be on tour until the very last date (September 12).However,the planned DVD may not be a sure thing. She's taping a CBS special in the fall (one of her European shows will be used),and it will air sometime before Christmas.Naturally, you would expect it to appear on DVD soon after. But since she's also making a tour documentary that's expected to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival in spring 2005,the regular DVD of the show may be delayed.

davideye, i really hope you're right! i will be soooo disappointed if i let myself get all excited about this and then its canceled. after my experiences so far, though, i'm bracing for anything!

Trust me,I'm right lol

I also know for a fact that the tour's promoters (Clear Channel) are actually trying to convince her to ADD dates. They want her to stay on the road through December and play more European dates. But she wants to move on to other projects (new album, tour documentary, etc).

i'm going to the 11 july show...the first night in chicago. if i like the show, i may try to bargain some desperate scalpers down and go to the last night as well. we'll see how things work out. as long as i get to see one of the shows! after purplegypsy's experience (getting moved to the first level from the fourth level!!) i got very psyched up!

LOL...will you relax already? It seems that every other day there is a new crazy rumor concerning this tour...

***Madonna faints backstage after a show
***Britney Spears will appear onstage during one of the New York dates (glad that didn't happen)
***Madonna will play Israel (remember that crazy story?)

The Chicago shows are still on.In fact, some bar/nightclub out there called "Sound-Bar" is hosting the Official Madonna After-Concert Party on July 11 and NIKI HARRIS will be there!!! Even though she's not a part of the tour, apparently she's still on good terms with Madonna. For more info,go here...

www.sound-bar.com

I think you have to register to receive updates and news, but you really should go.Take Stymie and Anxiety with you...lol

LOL - can you blame though, really? its been the story of my summer lol the party kind of sounds fun but it also kind of sounds cheesy. especially since they're calling it the "official" after madonna concert party...not the official after party. who knows though...it would probably be fun.
