"Ain't I Been good to you" has the best solo by Ernie to me. There's a cut called "Under the influence" which is killing as well. Great guitar solos all the way through the song.

With all this talk about Ernie, I dug out his solo release "High Wire" which I think is quite good.
I just suprised it hasn't come up in any of the earlier post, lots of great playing. I'll toss out this name again: Jon Butcher....a great guitarist, who you hear very little about.

High wire is slamming. I have everything that Ernie has played on. That whole album is good. That's Ernie playing bass, drums and keys as well. I met Jon Butcher once at Tower Records in Sherman Oaks. Nice dude.

Slash is good, and I am a big fan of Guns N Roses. I am aware of Slash's multiracial background, he's just not one of my favorites. I have a hard time justifying it sometimes since Axl Rose is such a sexist/racist/homophobic ass.

I agree. Slash is cool, his style though 2 me is pretty typical, standard. He didn't even come 2 mind. But on the race thing, Slash is a brother as far as I am concerned. I'm Creole, but I'm still black.

What's the name of that Jesse Johnson song where he double tracked the guitar line, is it Im Juat Wanting You? I like that one and I still have the solo from Jungle Love stuck in my head, also it's a fact that Eddie Hazel was one of his favorite guitarist as well.
