all of Madonna's tours feature alot of new material. She did 7 of 11 new songs... most of which the audience hadn't heard before but were still dancing too. October marks 22 years since Everybody came out. Dance and Sing get up and do you thing. MADONNA MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY AS MANY INSTRUMENTS AS PROFECINT AS PRINCE, BUT SHE HAS MORE POP SENSE AND ABILTY TO SPOT TALENT IN OTHER PEOPLE THAN ANY OTHER PERSON ALIVE. 46 out of 58 singles hitting the top 5 isn't done if someone has no talent. How many has Prince had? OK so Boderline Like A Virgin Material Girl weren't written by her but that leaves 43 that were. Madonna's abilty as a songwriter and producer are overshadowed by her image and they will be untill she dies. Elvis wasn't really thought of as a legend till he passed away.

But Madge will survive this and come back stronger it really reminds me of the peroid of 92-93. Sex came out Erotica came out Body of Evidence came out people called her carear over ... than she cooked up the Girlie Show and seemed undaunted by the pressure and her carear contiuned. She won't be finished til she has decided its done. Ps Kaballah really isn't in the show Like A Prayer has the 72 names of God on two monitors and that's it. It's not like she says open you bible or your torah and let it show how to Vogue. btw,i'm so sick of every critic mentioning the so-called "Kabbalah references" in this show.I've seen the show three times,and I don't see what all the fuss is about.I didn't even really NOTICE any of the Kabbalah messages! It's all so subtle and dosen't intrude on the proceedings one bit.
Madonna performed in New York last night.From the reviews I just read,I think THIS is the show that should be used for the CBS special. | |

Madonna experience a huge backlash from the press around the time when Erotica and the Sex book came out - so what you're saying is completely untrue. In fact, I'd say that in many ways she got a much worse battering from the media than P because her profile has always been a little bigger. And she's one of the biggest selling artists of all time - I think she sells records! But when did this turn into a comparison of Prince and Madonna? A funny sidenote.I found this on another forum...
During the song "American Life",Madonna gives the audience the British equivalent of "the bird".It's just the peace sign with the back of the hand to the recipient.But her American fans have no idea what this means,so naturally,they just clap and cheer. so basically,we clapped and cheered as Madonna was flicking us off...lol...
