I was just flipping through the Video channels and I came across the latest reason to hate MTV and everything it stands for and promotes. Between shows like, Road Rules, Real World, and other scripted reality shows (they all are) comes this latest joke. Ashlee Simpson, sister of Jessica, obviously thats why she got the gig, because Jessica Dumbness got people to tune into MTV which is really hurting for ratings. But all I can ask is why, why does this person have a show. I watched a little bit of the show, I guess i was sucked in by the curiousity of how this could be happening. And the one part I saw was so funny, she was arguing with her record manager about her demos for her CD, she was arguing because she IS A TRUE ARTIST and she doesnt want them to market her as the Next Hillary Duff. And then she starts complaining about how they did the same thing to Jessica because they wanted her to Be the next Britney but she fought it because she isnt Britney. I was on the floor laughing that someone would even debate with a this kid about how she is going to be marketed, or the fact that she is a True Artist, Oh my god. Doesnt this idiot realize that she only reason she has a show because of her sister and the only reason her sister got a deal was because of Britney and Christina and that whole teen craze.

I was flipping today and caught the same show. Beyond realizing that she only got a show because of Jessica.... Doesn't this little skeezer realize that she can't sing?

I too watched a portion of a show, where she was "writing" with her friend...
She actually said that she "can't believe how she's grown as a songwriter"...all in
a short visit to NYC.

u kno..maybe she really does have some talent...she might have gotten the gig @ mtv bcuz shes jessicas sister BUT we haven't even heard a full album from her..just one song..so c'mon give her a freakin break atleast until she releases an album ok?
btw i think it was in the first episode she sang a song call unreachable..i love that song!

i don't have clue, I hope the song, video, and album tank!!! She is too annoying.

This is the whole point. There are many talented singers and musicians who are not getting the exposure because the industry needs to make room for people like Ashlee. I'm sorry but that ain't right. Who cares about famous peoples siblings? And Jessica Simpson's sister? OK at least with Michael Jackson he had talent. I can understand every Jackson getting a record deal. But Ashlee Simpson. Shelley Fabares never called herself an artist. Besides, she could sing somewhat. Can't say the same for Ashlee, who's off key about 80% of the time.
