Who loves her? I bought her CD when like a feather dropped and loved it. I moved about a year ago and just ran across her CD and popped it in. In the time I wasn't linstening to it, I found out that she and Prince are down and I thought that was smooth. Do any of you know how this realationship came to be? Is she coming out with another CD?

She is an amazing and very under-rated vocalist/artist

I dig Nikka a lot, love her album. It's rare to get an album these days that you can play from beginning to end Powerful voice!! I loved seeing her perform w/ him @ the ONA Vegas finale. Tried to see her in SF but the show was sold out. I'll see her one day, she rocks

i saw her on the erykah badu Mama's Gun tour.....


I like her but I keep thinking I'm watching Janis Joplin meets Teena Marie and that shit gets confusing.

After seeing the "Push And Pull" video, I couldn't get Nikka's CD fast enough. I saw her live when she toured for that album. The show was so much more than I thought it would be. I was very impressed.

I've seen her live three times with the first as a part of a fundraiser event, and that's what drew me to her music. Her band is really great, hopefully she will be using most of those musicians on her new release. But yeah she is overdue for new material, and this would be the year to come back with some quality music.

Shes's cool. I loved her performance with prince at the Aladdin . I remember seeing her on stage with Prince, Macy Gray, and Angie Stone earlier this year at the HOB in HOLLYWOOD. Too bad she didnt sing

I like her, I can't WAIT for her new album that has Wendy and Lisa and Prince all on it.

ok...why is Nikka so loved and Joss Stone so hated....just asking. They are cut from the same cloth if you ask me.

Yeah, kinda sorta. I'm really not seeing what all the hype is about Joss. Yeah, the girl's got a nice voice, but like you said, she's young and hasn't really come into her voice yet (IMO). I think she has some more years to grow before she's really at her best (as far as vocally is concerned). To me, Nikka posesses a lot more versatility with her music, but again, I just think this comes with age.

Nikka is recording now and the new CD is due in September. Prince has been hanging with her in-studio, as well as Chance and John Blackwell playing on the record.

Michael Bland was in LA for a while and recorded two songs with Nikka for the new album. So alot of NPG gonna be all over this one!!

I don't get all the Joss hype but I admit I haven't given her a chance yet. I'm just not that interested for some reason

Nikka's debut had some good stuff on it. The lead single, "Push & Pull," "Everybody's Got Their Something" and "Some Kind of Beautiful" come to mind.

I hate how she and Kelis both opened for Britney. They lost so many "cool bohemian" points for that!
