any (so-called)"Fusion" fans?

anybody into "Fusion"(for lack of a better term...it's not just Jazz, it sure ain't "SmoothJazz" either... but combining elements of Jazz /Rock/Afro/Brazilian/World, etc.)? these are my favorites:

Weather Report - Heavy Weather
Pat Metheny Group - First Circle
Jaco Pastorius-Word Of Mouth
Miles Davis- Jack Johnson
Wayne Shorter - High Life
Jean Paul Bourelly - Rock The Cathartic Spirits
Caldera - Sky Islands
Kit Walker - Fire On The Lake
Steps Ahead - Modern Times
Allan Holdsworth - Metal Fatigue
Narada Michael Walden - Garden Of Love Light
Wayne Johnson Trio - Grasshopper
Jim Beard - Song Of The Sun, Truly
The Brecker Brothers - Out of the Loop
John Mclaughlin/ Mahavishnu - Birds Of Fire
Weather Report - Mysterious Traveller
Return To Forever - No Mystery
Wayne Johnson Trio - Spirit Of The Dancer
Allan Holdsworth - Road Games
Pat Metheny Group - Travels
Yellowjackets - Dreamland
Steve Smith / Vital Information - (Fia fiaga)Celebration
Kazumi Watanabe - Mobo I and II
Wayne Krantz - Signals
Stanley Clarke - I Wanna Play For You(full vinyl version, not the edited cd)
Paul Mccandless - Heresay
George Duke - Feel
Jeff Beck- There And Back
Jean Luc Ponty - Open Mind
Wayne Johnson Trio - Everybody's Painting Pictures
Terje Rypdal - Waves
Michael Landau - Tales From The Bulge

And, Even though they're considered a Pop/Funk Group:

Level 42 -Level42
True Colours,
The Pursuit Of Accidents,
Standing in The Light
Live- A Physical Presence
World Machine
Guaranteed

Come on now. Have you not seen my Avatar??? wink

I have a bunch of the stuff you have mentioned on there. And yes....Level 42 had/has some REALLY GOOD stuff that was slept on in my opinion. In another thread on here I just mentioned a couple songs from The Pat Metheny Group's First Circle album..which happens to be my favorite group album by them. BTW....Pat's previous drummer..Paul Wertico has an album out.
I will do today what you won't, so tomorrow I can do what you can't.

Now those guys have always been my shit. As a matter of fact I need to dust of World Machine tonight and give it a couple 'o spins. I could go for some "Good Man In a Storm" and "Leaving Me Now".

Jaco Pastorius
Stanley Jordan -- Flying Home
Madhouse -- 8 and 16

The "nu jazz" stuff is enormously enjoyable. To name a few faves:

jazzanova -- in between

St. Germain -- Tourist

Koop -- Waltz for Koop

I'd also submit:

Bebel Gilberto -- Tanto Tempo
Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Props will be withheld until the showing and proving has commenced. -- Aaron McGruder

Yeah. "Fusion" man... some say it isn't working at all, but I have no problem enjoying both wine and pot during the same night out.
