Can anyone recommend....

The summer sunshine has arrived here in England. Time to throw open the windows, dust down the barby and dig out the Earl Klugh CDs.

Speaking of Earl Klugh, can anyone recommend an artist who plays acoustic guitar with a mix of funky, classical and possibly Spanish flavours for my summer evenings on the patio with my glass of wine?

I doubt there is for you my friend. I think your life will be spent head-butting the rubber wall-paper in your cell.

Slave2daGroove

I love Gearge Benson's first album - New Boss Guitar or anything by John Scofield (start with "A Go Go")

Then my Spanish fav (other than all afro-cuban jazz) at the moment is Ry Cooder and Manuel Galban's album "Mambo Sinuendo"

First suggestions are free, the next one's cost you

peace

Have you checked out Acoustic Alchemy or Marc Antoine?
They're similar to Earl Klugh's style...There's the Classical/Spanish influence, but in a Contemporay(Soul, smooth Jazz, pop) setting...Marc has an album called Acoustic Soul that I thought was pretty cool (or you could start with his 'best of' compilation);Acoustic Alchemy's Red Dust And Spanish Lace was cool, too, but they've got lots to choose from (and they also have a 'best of' compilation)...
