Robbie Williams ... the Norman wisdom of pop. Not only talentless, but also an arrogant, egotistical arsehole.

Avoid his 'swing covers' album at your peril! Frank Sinatra would turn in his grave.

Finally Kylie gets some recognition and good to see CGYOOMH climbing the US charts - about time you guys appreciated POP and not all this Destinys Child type pseudoR&B.

Gorillaz were robbed this year - a ground breaking album - Travis again? Pleeeease.

Lets hope P gets a nomination next year. If the best International Male is Shaggy then there is v.much wrong with the world!

Late checking this link. If anybody's still listening, howsabout Prince for Outstanding Contribution next year (a nice celbration for his 25th year of recording)

Anxiety

At least Basement Jaxx got an award - "Rooty" is a damn fine album that any Prince fan should have a good listen to.

I'm with everyone on the Robbie-bashing, though I'll say I enjoyed his two albums before that swing crap. Not so much because I think Robbie Williams is such a brilliant songwriter or great singer, but more because I thought it was fun pop music to bop around to while I'm cleaning. Gotta have those guilty pleasures, don'tcha know...

And, UGH, the Strokes. I'm so tired of hearing about this band. They're okay. But they're JUST okay. They're as good as The Knack or Poco or any of the rest of those late '70s middle-of-the-road faux New Wave rock-lite bands, but no better. I know we're all starved for good music after enduring several years of Britney and N'STYNC, but we can do better! (okay, rant over.)

And yeah, Gorillaz got SCREWED. Just saw them play live at the Aragon in Chicago - awesome show. Way underrated. If you haven't gotten the cool shoeshine, then you gotta rethink your priorities, is all I'm sayin'.
