4Hero

I was just curious how many orgers have heard of 4Hero and appreciate their music/remixes as much as I do.

I've just got their new double CD of remixes, and it's a fantastic collection of their work. If you're into very eclectic remixing and the odd touch of drum and bass, then give 4Hero's albums a try.

I have a few of their remixes. My favorite is "We're Getting Down" of the Saint-Germain-Des-Pres compilation.

I'll look on Amazon.com for the remixes. Thanks for the tip! thumbs up!

well well, so there is some taste on this site !!! biggrin

4Hero are up there with the best british producers around, as a duo & also individually.

If you like 4Hero check the recently released New Sector Movements album 'Turn It Up'. NSM are one of many IG Culture identities - another British Producer extraordinaire. Proper future soul music.
The Funk, the whole funk & nothin' but the funk, ya dig?!

True...I felt the same way about 4Hero's remix of Nuyorican soul's version of the Rotary Connection classic " I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun"...I liked the remix(as well as the Nuyorican soul version), but they both made want to listen to the original that much more...(plus, I miss Phil Upchurch's guitar!)

Yeah, true, but when the strings give way to the drum and bass bit, aahhhhh pure heaven! And I felt they did a really good job with Les Fleurs.

Another classic they did was the track with Jill Scott "Another Day". Play that on your way to work and tell me it don't wanna make you go back home and chill out smile
